I have, as many of us have, been watching and reading about Lauren and Alexa for a long time. I love to look at the smiling photo of Alexa every time I read one of Lauren's posts. When I read her thread today I decided to write her a poem about how I feel instead of just a note. I have had a few responses to it and it got me thinking....why don't I try to have all you clever gals add a verse to the poem and when it is all done, put it together and scrap it and send it to her?
Rules for the poem verse:
It can be cute, funny, serious or anything in-between. It should all go together nicely with a variety.
If you can cut and paste it together when you add, it would be great. I am an idiot with the computer, which is why I don't have a gallery, I don't know how to put a picture on this thing. If you can't do that, don't worry, I will figure something out.
Sign your name at the end of the verse.
Here is the original poem so let's add a ton more!
I may not know your face
But in my heart it lays
A face that is held in my prayers
To help you through your day.
I may not know your voice
But in my head it rings
With thoughts of love and friendship
And angles with embracing wings.
I may not know your touch
But my hands reach out to you
To help you find your wishes and dreams
That lay right ahead in view.
Our paths may never come to cross
Except through words and thought
Just know that I have you close to me
In my soul, my prayers, my heart. (Pam AKA dacpam)

You may want to provide a link to this thread in Alexa's original thread.. If you don't get any responses. I don't know how much better this can really get though.
Although our lives are set apart
We feel we come to know your heart
Your emotions, your feelings, your hope
All those things that help you cope.
We love the person you are the most
and we've come to anticipate your daily post.
Your ups and downs you've always shared
because you know we've always cared.
At SCS it's not just a game
to see who acquires the very most fame.
It's families, it's life, it's respect for each other,
It's special and touching, like the love of a mother.
