I have made and sent Halloween cards but I don't really care for this "holiday." Last year we went out to eat to avoid the trick-or-treaters. We kept the lights off when we got home and watched TV. And we STILL had goobers ringing the doorbell. (Hello!? Unspoken rule.. if the lights are off, don't ring the doorbell. The folks inside aren't participating!) We were at the in-laws one year and had a good time handing out candy to the kids. Now, I'm not against handing out candy... just that we have two (now three) dogs and we don't want them to get out. (The dogs were at the kennel when at the in-laws.) I guess what I don't like are the freaky people who really get their kicks on Halloween. I don't mean the Wiccans as I know this is a nature-based religion. When I was a kid, Halloween was all about the candy.

PS. A good way to confuse a kid is to ask them how Santa and Jesus know each other. ;)
