Default Why I love SU stamps!!!!!

My mother decided she didnt like stamping and gave me all of her stamps...welll she bought them at michaels and so they were mounted, some are trimed (they came that way) and some were not...

I pick up a leave to do a 8.5 x11 page ...kinda like a OSW... and i start stamping...UGHHHHHHHHHHH EDGES WITH INK ON THEM! GRRRR

WELL fine so I stop stamping to try to TRIM this premounted stamp...WHAT A PAIN...UGH...lol

I LOVE MY SU STAMPS!!!!!!!!! UN MOUNTED for MEEEEE to trim and put on the block the way *I* want!!

OK done with my rant LOL

I agree!
I've had premounted stamps totally mounted like off center... crooked...

I just hate that. That's why I love SU stamps too!!!!!!

Can you heat the stamps in the microwave (like 20-40 seconds), then remove the stamp and the pad, and cut them down, then remount them? You shouldn't need to add anything to remount them, as the original glue cools down it becomes just as sticky. This is what I have done with poorly mounted stamps and ones that I did not cut the outside edges down on. It makes your scissors sticky, so coat them in versamark before doing your cutting, or clean well afterwards.

Hope this helps,

I totally do NOT recommend you heating your stamp for this long. I would tell you to do it for 10 seconds only. Hope that helps!
