Default What do you use to stamp on canvas?

I found these cute little canvas bags that I want to stamp on. I was thinking I would use staz on ink, but now that isn't making sense to me. I'm thinking since staz on is meant for non-pourous surfaces, canvas wouldn't be in that category. I noticed most people in the gallery said they used craft ink, but I don't have time to order that from SU. So is there anything else I could use that I could grab at Michael's, JoAnn's, or Hobby Lobby? TIA!

Fabrico, All Purpose Ink (TAC carries it, don't know the brand), Brilliance Ink

and my favorite- just any old ink, but then go over it with Art Institute Fabric Dries Clear glue and put Art Institute Glitter on it, bake it to set. Then you can wash it and the glitter stays on!

Check out Michael's, Hobby Lobby or your LSS for the Brilliance ink pads. I believe I've seen the Brilliance at those places, but you could call and check first.

I don't know where to find the art institute clear glue - never used it before.

I looked up the Brilliance ink pads and now I remember seeing them at different stores. Are these more like craft pads than just regular ink pads? If I used Brilliance, would I have to do anything else to it or just stamp and done?!
Thanks you all for your help!

SU craft ink!!!!.... then heat set with an iron and a piece of paper.

You can also use acrylic paint with a fabric medium added to it too (in the little bottles by the paint).

I use fabric paint applied lightly with a sponge brush. Lots of colors available and blendable to create your own colors. Some brands say heat set so read the labels carefully.

Wow, I never would have thought of all of these different ways. I'm going to have to price them out and see what I can use out of things I already have.
Thanks so much!

I prefer to use cheapo acrylic paints (you know, the little bottles that are frequently on sale 3/$1) when stamping on fabric; just pick up a bottle of fabric medium to mix with them. The medium is in the same section as the paints, and it keeps the paint supple so it's not hard and brittle.

Brilliance ink is pretty easy to find. Hobby Lobby carries it. I buy mine from TAC.

Art institute glue and glitter are available from TAC and Cornish Heritage Farms- and other places. If you want to be able to wash it- get the fabric glue.

I don't know how long to bake it, really. I always just set it in the oven after I've cooked something. So the oven had been at 350, but I've since turned the heat off- then maybe 15 minutes?

White craft paint from Wal-Mart! Add the textile medium and use your reinkers for colors!

Heat set and then it is washable!
