Question What do you demo at your SU parties?

What type of projects do you normally present at a SU party? Do you normally have a hands on project or do you just demonstrate how everything works? Also, do you have set items you like to show? How do you come up with the projects you show? I am not a demo (have thought about it). Just curious. I have gone to several parties and everyone does it a bit different and I know there are no set rules. BTW I have enjoyed them all. But I do like when I also get to play.
TIA

I am not a demonstrator, and never will be. However, I have a demonstrator who I love. I have had other people comment that she is very generous with her materials. We might do three projects when I host a workshop. She might use 4 eyelets on one (times 8 people), fibers on another, multiple layers and embossing powder on another.
I know that I like relatively easy things myself. I am more likely to make a card than a box where I have to trace the pattern, score it, etc. However, I don't want it too simple.
We duplicated a project that she did at an open house where we made a folder out of a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock, put microbeads on the spine, and then filled it with 8 cards all made out of one stamp set, and only 4 colors. Lots of fun, and a great gift!

I AM NOT A DEMO LADY, BUT GO TO LOTS OF PARTIES. THE ONES I HAVE GONE TO, USUALLY HAVE A CARD KIT MADE UP. SHE HAS CS ALL PRE-CUT TO MAKE ONE COOL CARD. SHE HAS ALREADY MADE UP A SPECIAL CARD AND WE USUALLY JUST COPY THAT ONE.

I have been to a couple of different parties (different demos) and we have always made at least three cards (usually four). The demo has the paper already cut and the embellishments counted. I like the fact that we make so many.

Smile What do you demo at your SU parties?

I have been a demo for almost 7 years and my parties depend on the hostess and if she knows a little about her guests too. I try to base what stamp sets to use on what the interest of the group might be. That way I can show them just how easy it is to do.
I do hands on projects every time so they have the chance to play with my stamps and supplies and also take their artwork home to show off to their families.
Most of my parties are showing fast but fun and some elegant cards, scrap pages, and I stamp on just about anything that stays still long enough.
I want all the guests to feel that stamping is not too difficult for anyone to do.
During the school year I also teach elementary kids to stamp. I work at a school and it's gotten me many new customers and we love to get together to stamp.
I also hold stamp classes each month and do many different things. Last month we based the class on just two stamp sets and I showed just how versitile stamps can be.
I'm spreading the stampin' bug to everyone I meet!
