Hi! I want to make a baby journal and have seen some really cute one's made with "matboards". What are these and where do you buy them? Thanks so much!
Any craft store that cuts mat for photos will have it on sale. I find that the art supply stores generally have the best prices. Some people have been lucky enough to find it at their local dollar stores as well.

Check at your Hobby Lobby in the framing dept. and occasionally they will have big bags of all their leftovers (really big pieces- most of mine were bigger than 8 x 10) for less than $5. And you get a variety of colors.
Even if you end up getting just one big piece, Hobby Lobby is much cheaper than Michaels.
I picked up a huge peice, bristol board size for under $5 at my local art supply store - Loomis and Toules (I think that is their old name and the chain a slight variation on it now), but they have a number of stores across Canada.
