Default I hate glitter...but...

I placed my first demo order of the year with Stampin' Up!, and I normally hate glitter. Hate! Hate! Hate! And what's on my order? Two sets of the glitter!

What in the world?

I got sucked into the birds. I bought cheep talk, and then I bought the on board so tweet....and then I started thinking about ideas, and BAM! I'm ordering my biggest enemy!

I use to hate glitter as well but when you use it on a few things you just might end up liking it. I don't use glitter all the time but there are just certain stamps that call for glitter. I really like using the dazzaling diamonds it makes snow sparkle and you can add it into the embossing powder as well. Have fun with the glitter and remember to have a cloth near buy to help clean up and I would recommend that you keep kids and pets out of the area when you are using the glitter.

Thumbs up

I, also, hated to use glitter until I found the Essential Glue Pad by Tsukineko. at Christmas. I do not use the pad because I read here that some people had trouble with it.

However, I do use the GLUE that came with it and apply it with a small paintbrush. I was AMAZED! The glitter does NOT fall off! People who I sent cards to, are telling me that the glitter still is not flaking off their cards.:-D

From now on, that is the ONLY glue for glitter and me!

I hated it too till I changed the way I use/store it. I dump the whole jar into one of those rubbermaid containers. I use the square flat size, it's a little larger than a sandwich. I keep a plastic spoon in there (from baskin robbins or wherever) too. When I want to use it, I get the glue all ready then open the lid, stick the paper in there, use the spoon to cover it all, then dump the rest off and tap the paper. Then the lid goes right back on ASAP.

When I do it like this there is minimal glitter mess. It really has made a difference for me.

Hi, I'm isewquilts and I am a Glitter Hater too (love the look, hate the mess).
My answer--stickles!!! Not quite the same, but way neater.
