Default Where can I find the basics?

I love SU, but am still relatively new to some of the products and techniques. I just received my demo number today for SU, but want to really figure out how to actually use all the products before I go having workshops, lol.

I know there is a techniques forum on SCS, however some of them assume you already know very basic things. For example, is there a place to go to find our what Pearl Ex is and how to use it. Or, to tell me what to do with an aqua painter? etc.

Does that make sense? I'm learning a ton from SCS, but I feel like I am trying to do too much before mastering some of the basics.

On the customer side of the Stampin' Up website is a section called Ideas & Techniques. That shows some of the more basic techniques. When you get your starter kit it will include the demonstrater manual & product guide CD. The product guide section will tell you just about everything you'll need to know about SU's different products and gives tips for upselling. If you can't wait for your kit to arrive, the product guide can be downloaded from the SU website (look under My Business-My Business Resources-Printing Place. The product guide is under the Products & Stamping heading.) It will take a little while to download if you are on dial-up.

Also under Training-New Demonstrator Corner-How to Use the Website is Website at a Glance. Print that out - it'll save you hours trying to figure out where all the info is! And there's lots of good info buried on that website.

Hope that helps you out!

Definitely check out the product guide. It's full of great info. Also, your Getting Started DVD from SU has some great techniques. I'd also suggest joining the demo forum because the other demos here are great about answering any questions you may have. Here's a link to the thread about joining:

Your upline should be able to sit down with you and share a LOT of information.
