Default I need help on the best way to clean wood blocks

I'm like a lot of you who are going with unmounting their stamps, and left with a lot of wood blocks. My question is: How is everyone cleaning their blocks from all the stickiness? I have tried a search but can't seem to find anything about this. Please help if you can. Thanks!

I'll have this project to do later myself. I was going to try using my Adhesive Remover Eraser on them. Not sure if you can use Goo Gone or not; seems like it would soak into the wood. Interested in seeing responses to this too. Great question!

The easiest way I found is to sand it off. Makes a mess, with fine dust all over the place, but it gets rid of the sticky and some of the stains.

I should have mentioned - sometimes I dust the blocks with a little baby powder. It seems to help keep the sticky from gumming up the sanding block.

Also, I use sanding blocks that I got way cheap at Harbour Freight - they feel like a kitchen sponge covered on all sides with sandpaper. They feel quite comfortable in my hand, and because of the sponge base, they'll kind of bend & squish if you need to get into the curvy part of the block.

Thanks for the info. Went to Home Depot and got some sand paper, now I'm off to sand some blocks.
