Default How do you find out about craft fairs in your area?

I'm thinking that I want to check out selling some items at a local craft fair. How should I go about finding out what's out there? I know some churches do them but I usually hear about it too late.

TIA.

In late August, my local newspaper back home in Virginia publishes a list of every bazaar and craft fair from September to December. Public high schools often hold them as fundraisers, so you might try checking with them to see if they're still soliciting vendors. Craft fairs at churches or community centers tend to be restricted to members only, or residents of the city where the center is located. There are also a few spring fairs, but fall tends to be the traditional season and is much more popular.

You might try and call or write the local Chamber of Commerce of cities you are interested in for all of their local craft fairs, call all the local schools and PTO groups and check online for various cities as many post their craft shows and fairs.
Good Luck.

Gosh, can't think of the name of the website right now, but if you do an internet search on craft shows, I know there's a few sites that will list them by area. Other than that, keep your eyes open in the local papers and community bulletin boards!!

I live near Houston and every year in August/Sept the Houston Chronicle publishes a supplement listing all the upcoming craft shows, church festivals, etc. I would call your local paper and see if they can give you any leads.

Best of luck!
