inking

Great question....I'd love to know, too!

You will be able to tell. When it is hard to ink up your stamps and get a complete image then it's time for reinking.

My ink pads started to be lighter on the outer edges, and darker in the middle, so I reinked and the pad is OK now. ;)

How to Re-ink Pads?

How do you re-ink pads?

Thanks,

It's easy! Using a reinker bottle in the matching color (in the SU catalog, very inexpensive), carefully apply the ink all over the pad. Depending on the "juicy-ness" of your pad, it might take a lot of ink. My sister (a demo) told me to keep adding ink until the pad won't accept any more. Make sure to ink the entire surface of the pad for complete coverage. You can use the pad right away, but I prefer to let it "season" overnight before I use it.

Thanks for the great explanation. I appreciate that.

Here is a link to an old thread about this very topic with some good pictures & tips in it:

I bought re-inkers after I read this thread, and I'm so glad I did!!
