So, it's Monday and I'm happily surfing SCS, looking at the new gallery format and voting to help an SCSer win a dream wedding. Not doing a thing to say, get the house ready for our out-of-town guests arriving on Thursday.
Facing reality, I finally break away from the computer and start the Monday cleaning routine. Ho hum.
But, as I clear away the packaging from DH's little shopping spree this weekend, a strip of acetate from a dress shirt package falls out. I squint at it for a moment, and then it hits me:
Free windows for shaker cards--woo hoo!
Anyone else have a stamping eureka moment while doing the housework? So what'd you find?
Now I'm all charged to keep cleaning to see what else can be found--after I cast one more vote for the dream wedding, LOL!
I can't clean....I'm too busy voting for the dream wedding. But, if I come across something when I finally get around to cleaning I'll let you know. ;o)

I have tried some of the things that I would normally trash-packaging, boxes, etc. Nothing have been kept so far but will keep looking.
I try to walk often. I tell my daughter that I glance at the yard trash that people put out and can hardly restrain myself from snatching that tiny twig that I could use on a card or an unsual leaf that I could use when I stamp a card front.
I am a hobbyist so I hoard LOTS of wonderful stuff that I will use someday!
I used to "steal" the empty crystal light containers from the group home I worked at before I became a manager. They were all being thrown away and i thought--wait a minute, i could alter those!!

I've been saving all my pop top veggie cans for altering. I cut the bottoms off with a safety can opener so I can glue it back on later!! I've also been saving spaghetti sauce jars. The best is when my husband comes home from work with a tin or something and says, I thought you might want this for your stampin stuff!!!!!

Were evolution true, Mothers would have more than 2 hands!
Yup, orange and onion bags. Then the other day.....needed to finally get rid of the dying mylar balloon.....hmmmmm. I think I can use that for a BG! Now neatly folded in the stamp room (The balloons were solid red and solid pink)

I was cleaning my DD bedroom and found a bunch of tags she had torn off her new clothes. Some of them were very artistic, suede, silk, ball chains. Great stuff.
