Default Canning labels/ideas for jars?

I was just wondering if anyone has made canning labels or decorated canning jars and could show me a few pictures? I am looking for ideas to make a gift basket of sorts but I am kinda perplexed. Ideas?? thanks

I don't have any pictures (always forget to take the photo until the gift is in hand), but I've stamped on Avery Address Labels and used those on front of the canning jars. I hate my handwriting, so I print off any wording I want on the labels first, then add flowers and such after that. Sometmes add tissue paper over the lid with ribbons. Sometimes I stamp the tissue paper, sometimes, I don't. HTH

Maybe you could search for those Starbucks glass drink containers people decorate. There are bound to be a lot of exaples in the gallery, under anything but a card. Maybe the ideas can just be enlarged for the Ball jars.

I made a coffee-cocoa mix one year and put it in the small pint jars with a stamped label for directions for use and a cut square of fabric tied over the screw lid.

Here is a link to a jar I decorated as a PEEP jar. Not much, but easy.

I've been wanting to do this too - I plan to buy the labellicious set in the catelogue as it would be great for food tags.
