Default What's up with this?

I got the Canvas background and after using it noticed that the stamp left a circle about a quarter-inch big blank on the very top of the paper. I tried to get it to stamp correctly, but it never really did. So, I called DS and the man told me they would send a new one. I asked if he wanted me to return the old one and he said "No, just throw it away". Of course I couldn't just throw it away! I gave it away! So, today I get the new stamp, although all they sent is the rubber part, in a big box no less! What if I did just throw the old one away? He said nothing about peeling the old image off, and I certainly didn't think about doing that. I'm tempted to call DS on Monday and tell them that since I wasn't instructed to pull the defective rubber off before discarding it, I got rid of the whole thing and sending a piece of rubber isn't satisfactory. Or I can just track down another block of wood to mount it on. I won't ask for the old one back. What should I do?

I would just call DS and tell them that you got rid of the old one and wasn't instructed to keep the block, so would they please send you another. It seems reasonable to me.

Yes, I'd call and ask them to send the wood too. I had a problem with one of my stamps before and they sent me the rubber & wood.
