What's the secret to perfect crimping?

Seems like mine are always crooked. What am I doing wrong?

make sure you are gripping the handle of the crimper consistantly all the way around, not tighter on one side than the other, this causes it to crimp through at an angle.

Someone taught me to close the crimper before placing the paper at the opening. This aligns the paper from the get-go. Also, I apply even pressure to the paper (holding it against my chin) as I crimp. It's kind of a funny sight, but it gets the job done! HTH :D

Slow and steady works for me!

I grip the handles so it is closed. Make sure my paper is all the way into one of the grooves, and then I crank the handle.

crimping

I roll the cardstock two turns, then turn it the other way and then roll the rest of the way through.
