what's the difference
can someone please explain to me the difference between the following stamp activities...
stamp a stack workshop stamp camp open house aren't they all basicaly the same? |
I think the differences may change from demo to demo, but with mine...
Stamp-A-Stack is where she has a few designs, and you make multiples of them as you want. Usually in multiples of six in her case. My demo precuts all cardstock, too, which makes the process faster yet. Workshop - you go to learn new techniques and play with new tools and goodies. We usually come home with two of each card. Stamp camp - you can work on your projects or ones that she has created. Less structured than the others. Open House- just that. Maybe a make & take, but more of a shopping time than anything else. |
Well there are no set terms but here's my take (I'm a demo)
Stamp-a-stack - pay a fee and make a predetermined number of cards in a few different designs. I usually do 5 each of 3-4 different designs. Usually everything is precut you just stamp and assemble. Ordering is optional, demo gets benefits. Workshop - this is the traditional in home party. Products are demonstrated and there may or may not be 1-3 make and take projects for guests. Generally there is no fee (or sometimes a small one waved with a minimum purchase) Guests place orders and the hostess gets benefits. Stamp Camp - Pay a fee for a larger more involved project or group of projects. Lunch may be involved. Ordering is optional. Open house - come look around, usually a make and take or 2. The hostess (demo) hopes you will order or book a workshop. Demo will either keep benefits or sometimes draw for a mystery hostess. |
