Default Question about CM consultants

I have a friend who is interested in becoming a CM consultant. Does anyone know what the compensation schedule is for them? Thanks!

CM consultants get a 30% discount on product (like SU get 20%). They buy all hostess items and other goodies. There is commission on downline, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't start until the Unit Leader level. (They just changed it about 6 months ago and since I've NEVER had downline in 3+ years, I didn't pay it a lot of attention.) Shipping is flat-rate of $18 unless you're ordering over $800 of products, at which point it is free.

Is that what you mean?

Yes, thank you. Regarding the hostess items.....you mean that when a party order is turned in and qualifies for hostess items (like our hostess stamp sets) - the consultant has to pay for this out of her earnings? Are they priced reasonable - or are they similar to the products? Thanks a bunch.

Yes, consultants pay for the special items that are hostess only. The cost is usually around $6.50 each. In addition, hostess free items are purchased through the "Thanks to you" program for consultants where we earn products at MUCH more reduced cost (to enable us to give them to Hostesses). I think the formula is something like 11% of your order at 25% of retail after $555. (So you order $500 at the "normal discount" and get the other $55 for 25% of cost.) FORTUNATELY for me, the consultant web site will figure this automatically, because the math gets wild fast.

If you're doing shows and workshops regularly, you can do well, but like any home business it can get expensive if you're not careful. I would definitely advise your friend to think about the time commitment she's willing to make, and to talk to her prospective upline about what kind of support she offers. (With the flat-rate shipping, having a nearby upline or team of consultants with whom you can trade product in a customer "emergency" can be a HUGE help.)

HTH!
