Question for CM rep or someone who knows

My mother gave me the CM cutting system. I really love it, one of these days I'll buy the odd shapes.

But, what in the world is that cardboard fold up thingy? It resembles, to me at least, a sewing measure board or something. I've never found a way to use it and will probably just sell it or throw it away unless someone can enlighten me.

This "blonde moment" of mine is taking up space, lol.

If it is what I am thinking of, it is to hold the templates and guides. It keeps them from being bent or destroyed.

I'm clueless on this one. It about a foot and a half or so long and maybe 6 or 8 inches across, folded into thirds. Not wide enough to store the plastic or the cutting mat.

Is it maybe to cut on if you don't have a self-healing mat?

I'm a CM Consultant - it is the box you are supposed to keep the 12" template in to keep it from breaking while it's being stored in your bag. HTH!
