I did one of my friends combined the collage photos they took with a great window card and a great folded christmas tree on the front..I got a total of 5 handmade cards. Some more "loving hands" than others but all appreciated and loved.
She just started to scrapbook and stamp. She made a beautiful professional looking card for us. Took her a long time. She borrowed a rubber stamp of a deer from a lady in her church and made a lovely job of it. I was so impressed. Better than what I had ever made. She is very exact. I did give her some cardstock months earlier and some of my excess stuff and she used it all.
Before their wedding in 2010 I did get her a scor buddy and showed her how to use it and she made all her own invitations and bulletins for the church.
She has since made some scrapbooks - one of their honeymoon and they look great.
I didn't receive any handmade cards. Come to think of it, I didn't receive but a couple of store-bought cards. I think the economy has forced people to cut back, not only on the big stuff, but the little things.
