My first set was Sketch An Event
My first set was Alpha Builders. I bought it to do scrapbooking, but have never used it! I then added a few sets and moved on to card making. I still haven't touched my scrapbooking! Yikes!
Sketch an event was my first one.
I can't remember which one I got first...I think it was Many Moos, which I wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of in a trade. :( The other possibility is Shapes and Shadows. I am NOT getting of that one anytime soon. Still love it!
Mine was Watercolor Garden. I still have it and still love it..

My first was A Little Love, that I got on ebay in October of 05. I got a great deal on it, and still have it- it's just something about that little crown- looks great on all things girly! :)
nice and easy notes.. i thought it would be a great all purpose set.. i've barely touched it.. just not my style.. have many more sets now..
My first was Frosty, in 2001.
My first set was 'Something to Celebrate'. I thought it would be useful for scrapbooking as well as lots of birthday cards. I love it, but haven't used it too much. Since then, I have bought many more!
It was either Nice & Easy Notes or Fresh Flowers, I can't remember which was first and which was second! There have been many, many more since then.
The first set I purchased was that one the All God's Children replaced (can't remember the name). Sold it after it retired and bought All God's Children. My other first stamps were the ones that came in my kit... and my kit came before my order! ;) I joined SU at my first workshop.
My first sets were all in my starter kit. The ones I couldnt wait to get were "fresh fillers" and "loads of love". Still love and use them both.
Frosty!
He's so cute! :) |
Cute as a Bug & Mini Mates (5 1/2 years ago!)

Swirl Frame Fun or was it called Swirl Fun Frame? Sugah, I don't remember...it does have Swirl and Frame in the title fer sure. DH purchased it for me at Simply Southern in Nashville...thus, beginning my addiction!
Therefore, I blame my collection solely on him! |
first set or sets?:o I think my first order was huge! It's been a long time, but I think they were...
Button Bear, Nice & Easy Notes, Seasonal Minis |
Reviving...
Thought this was a fun topic and wanted to revive the thread.
My first "set" was my starter kit (I saw it was SUCh a good deal!) but my interest began when I received a holiday card from a good friend made with the Happy Winter set, which I was sure to include in my starter kit. I also got Shapes & Shadows, Simply Sweet and Right at Home. I don't recall the others. |
When I bought my first stamps from SU they didn't have JUST SU stamps. They had other companies. And that was maybe 11 or 12 years ago. don't remember my first stamp. I now have over 125 SU sets. Button Bear & Berry Best were 2 of the first...........1995-1996 catalog. Berry best was one that I demonstrated a lot as a demonstrator & Button Bear was probably one of my best sellers.

I am still pretty new to the world of stamping, but I bought petal prints for my first set ( I think I have 7 or 8 now) and it is still my favorite!
My first stamp set was Cool Cat. I have a 6 year old daughter I have got a lot of use out of that one for birthdays.
Button Bear, still use it.

i think it was called over the river or something like that.
My first set was Holidays Hedgehogs. They are the reason why I fell in love with SU. The set is horribly mounted very stained and I will never get rid of it. I made so many bad cards with the set, with cheap cardstock from Walmart, but I kept almost all of the cards so I can look at them later. :D

Holiday Hannah!
I think my first was Quick and Cute but I never really used it much. I traded with my friend for something else.
Festive Four was my first set, along with a spider wheel. And to think I only went to the SU party becasue a friend was hosting it - who knew I would become addicted so qucikly. That was 3 catalogs ago! :)
Wonderful Words was my first. At my first Stamp Camp, the demonstrator did a card using it, and I was in love!
My first set was bought in about 2000 and it was Quilts Give Comfort. I think I used it once or twice. Sold it a few years later on ebay. My style of stamping has changed so much since I started. I still find stamps that I bought years ago and (hand to forehead) wonder WHAT WAS I THINKING? :)
Nice and easy notes was mine wanted more stamps with more occasions in it.
Don't use it much anymore but keep all my sets I have bought. |
Mine was Fantastic Foliage, many years ago. I still use it a lot, plus I do a big art project with it every Fall with my students. I have so many sets now I store them in a Craftsman tool chest on wheels, but I won't give that one up.
Back in 2001 after going to 2 stamp camps I finally ordered "Frosty" so I could make Christmas cards.
I JUST sold it on ebay this past month. I only use my Christmas stamps once, so they always get sold by next year. I had held onto it for sentimental reasons, but then I thought whats the point? Sell it to get more $$$ to BUY new stamps!:p |
Lovely as a Tree. Went to a party at my friend's, saw a card of the pine tree done in eggplant, and gold. It was beautiful. My friend is now a my demo, but I'm still a beginner!
Canine Capers! I still love that set!
Stinkin Cute. I just love the little skunk
my first set purchased was Elegant Greetings along with some cardstock and markers, since it was SAB so I also got Painted Garde
Mine was Fairy Nice, which I sold in an "I've got no mojo so may as well sell all my stuff" mode a while ago, and I really miss it :(
