Default I need a new demo and want to order online only

The ones listed on the S.U. website in my area have inactive websites and no classes. I've had several demos in the past (one died) who, although still active, didn't care about their customers. Took weeks to get an order. Didn't have stamp groups. Were not friendly.

So can I just pick someone from the demo list, place an order online and have it shipped directly to me without having to try to establish a relationship? Basically have the demo as a middle man.

You can pick anyone from the demo list, make sure they have online ordering. If you order online, it is shipped to you automatically. You might would want a demo to be able to ask a question about a product or how to use a product, once again, if you prefer you can do that online through emails.

You don't need to have a relationship with your demo but if I was your demo I would try to establish a rapport, wherever you were in the country! I don't believe you should be chasing people though... JMHO. Good luck finding someone.

Try speedystamper. She's a great demo and has on line ordering. She has a gallery on Splitcoast and has a link to her website there. Of course she's not in your state but posts regularly on her blog and does YouTube videos of her projects.

With the exception of taking too long to get your orders in, it sounds like the ones who don't have classes or groups would be just what you are looking for, no? Don't take that the wrong way, I am just thinking that's what it sounds like you want...just a rep, not a friend or coach. I would just find a random blog and go from there. There are lots to choose from

I'm hoping those with inactive websites and no classes are all recent sign-ups, and they're just learning how to figure all that out (I'm in the same boat!). Or maybe they just have a good customer base that they keep paying the monthly fee to make it easier for customers who aren't local, but aren't looking for new?

Good luck finding someone!

Some people are just hobby demos...and busy like myself. Working days, nights, and weekends kind of puts a damper on having classes. I mean, when am I supposed to have them if I work during the day, in the evenings and on the weekends too? ANd when I do get an evening/weekend off, I kind of want it OFF :-) I have classes here and there when I can but it's not easy. I'm a demo for the discount first and making money second. ANd honestly when I have classes I don't always update my website because I contact my local customers first hand so you really can't judge someone on their website alone. I only have x-amount of time and the website often looses out on getting updated:-)

I've actually GOTTEN customers from my "empty" schedule as they want someone who will leave them alone and not pressure them to come to classes and stuff.

To the OP, good luck finding someone who fits your needs! It may take some time and shopping around but there is a demo out there for everyone!

Any demo will do for your situation as it doesn't matter to you who might "profit" from your situation. The only problem I can foresee for you would be if you have a problem with an item and need advice or a replacement. In that case you would want someone who would get back to you. i have several out of town customers who order from me who always get a thank you and then I leave them be. Works for all of us! Good luck and happy shopping.

Most demonstrators would love to have you as a customer and be grateful you chose to work with them. If you don't want the demo to bother you, just let them know! I know that I've had online only customers who love hearing from me and communicating and others that I never hear from. I love it when folks tell me how I can better help them... even if it is to just let them be.

So, check blogs you like, SCS folks you follow, or just shoot a dart and see where it lands. As folks mentioned, there are lots of types of demos and many demos eager to work with you, so good luck finding the right fit for you!

The best of both worlds would be to find an active demo who offers online ordering and classes and you can attend if you want.
