What type of stamps would you like to see in the new catty?
What are you hoping is in the new catalog? I'm hoping for more cute stamps. I really like chunky & fun!

I meant to put more options and not just "fun" for the first ones. Just check other and explain what you would like to see.

OK, I'll open up a can of worms here, because I love the elegant and vintage-y stamps and I am hoping they don't forget about me, and only do the trendy and cutesy things... a variety is good and hopefully it is broad. We need a good guy set and some beautiful nature /floral types to replace what they took out. Oh and wedding sets better be more grown up looking and suitable for both bride and groom...
I see a range of tastes being needed.

new catty
I have high hopes for the new catty.
I voted for a nice realistic Christmas set. The last few have been kinda wierd IMO, except I loved the ones in the mini last yr.
I want a few sports sets(track, dance, soccer, swimming)
A good dog set that is nice without being goofy, even dogs with attitude would be fun.
A nice masculine set WITHOUT animals, how about a boy/Dad, girl/Dad set
Anniversary/wedding set that can be used for all aged folks
something with books(for teachers, or folks that love reading)
A new rose set with big and small images
Graduation set that is versatile(college, high school)
Get well set( for serious and not so serious cases)
I'd like to see a whale set that is realistic and beautiful not cutsy
I'm not asking for much right, lol

I was just thinking how the vintage style could provide some awesome designs; not so much the children wearing dunce caps kind of vintage, but some neat science ones that might be considered collage-y. DNA strands, different models of the atom, Feynman diagrams, heck, even Einstein and some of his quotations. I think it would be cool if they played around a little with stamps of microscopic organisms, too; maybe a general biology set with algal images ( diatoms and Pediastrum are gorgeous), bacteria, or what have you. My DH is a high-energy particle physicist and so are most of his friends, and while he appreciates my cards no matter what, I would love to have access to science stamps.

I'm with ya on the vintage stuff. We really need some new sets for that category. I'm really hoping for some masculine sets and more of the doodle/fun type. Oh, and more greetings/words will be great. We've really needed that section to be updated and I'm liking what's in the preview brochure so more of that will be great.
Come on July!!

Holiday sets that aren't cute.
Funky cats or dogs - in the style of Laurel Burch.
Vintage sets to replace all the ones they retired - the new Baroque one in the Preview is PERFECT.... more like that!
Collage sets - in the style of Summerset Studios or Tim Holtz new collection.
Set for Altered books - variety of book plates, keyholes, "pull", "open" etc..

I would love to see a FISHNET BACKGROUND STAMP for all my summer stamps. I think this would be an awesome looking background stamp to stamp behind those nice summer crabs, fish, starfish etc pages or cards.
And with that new in color coming out will make the perfect color to use it on. or the sahara sand color stamp pad.

I ticked "Other" because what I'd really like to see is something completely different and new and exciting - something totally different to everything they've done before. You know how Bellas are "different"? And the headless people from My Favorite Things? Something like that - fresh and contemporary and NEW!
Cats would be good, too.

Free!!!
But seriously I would like lots of things to choose from. I hope they are coming up with some great background stamps. The fish netting is a great idea. I like the animal set in the preview but I already have Wild About You and not sure if I can justify another set that's so similar. I loved the look of Carte Postale (?) but didn't get it because it was in a mini so something along those lines.

I voted for boy and masculine sets. I think the other categories are already very well represented. I'm biased of course, because of dh & ds. Eh, even my dog is male. High testosterone area.
Oh, one other small female in the house - my son's hamster. Should have added "other" to my vote and asked for hamster stamp. Online, I found a very cute hamster stamp that is playing a saxophone - my son plays sax - what are the odds?!

I want more great flowers - realistic & fun. Running set - doubt this will happen, but I would love to see it. More masculine sets like lighthouses & things like that. Hopefully not a whole catalog of cutesy stuff. I don't have kids & don't use a lot of sets like that.

A cute set for "appreciation/thanks for all you do" kind of message. Maybe education-related stamps or cute flowers and bugs, etc. Just something you could use to make favors with for say, volunteer luncheons, etc.
A better "pool side" set--a more realistic one--Don't ask me to explain too much, I jut want a more elegant one for grown up pool parties.
And a roses flower set, a realistic one.

I want some new baby sets. I am sure there will be. I need a new set for my new baby. And I am real real tired of my only set, "Baby Firsts"
I like the idea of science sets someone had above. But I am a nerd. Don't think SU is that in touch with their nerd side though. We can always hope.
I get annoyed with stamps that look like they are hand drawn by someone without any ability. For example soofari. Why would I buy a stamp of something I could draw myself (or draw even better .. I can make a tongue look like a tongue not a cigarette)
Ok done rambling.

"Maybe have cutesy stuff for the young kids..."
I incorporate stamping into scrapping exclusively (rather than cardmaking, stamp art, etc.) & our preschool son is my primary scrap subject. Because I'm cutesy- & theme scrapping-challenged, I generally feel restricted to incorporating only versatile alphas (e.g. Big Deal), words (e.g. So Very), & basic stamp images (e.g. Simple Shapes, It's A Date) due to a lack of non-cutesy or non-doodled age appropriate choices that aren't overly themed. Therefore, my hope for the new catalog is the inclusion of versatile boy &/or masculine sets that transcend age (i.e. appropropriate for infant, preschooler, young boy, teen, young man, adult, & senior), reflect males' diverse interests (even if stereotypical - e.g. car, guitar, fish, golf ball, wrench, barbell, grill, remote control, dollar bill , etc.), & can be adapted to a variety of subjects. I realize this may be a difficult order to fill, but one can dream...

I also picked "other". I would like some boy sets which have nothing to do with sports or outdoorsy things, because my boy isn't either. I have always wanted a boy angel, my girl isn't my only sweet angel ya know.

I would love to see some humor(really good Humor) almost sarcastic! And some cute, funny animal sets better than the Ruff play and cat one they had...and some teenage sets without the scetch idea more of a bold line or a thin line....and some GOOD masucline sets. Also some different flower sets that do not require a stamp a mi jig and tons of practice. and lots of really funny word sets.
boy I am not asking for lots....*S*

I'm chunky and fun, does that count?
Personally I am a SUCKER for flower sets. I keep thinking - oh no not another flower set (when I buy one) but you can't have too many flowers can you? I like the fun flowers and the realistic flowers.
I also want some more adult masculine sets that I can use for my DH. I love vintage type sets too so bring those on as well.

I agree!
"I get annoyed with stamps that look like they are hand drawn by someone without any ability. For example soofari. Why would I buy a stamp of something I could draw myself (or draw even better .. I can make a tongue look like a tongue not a cigarette)"
I totally agree with this!!! If I can draw an image myself, why do I need a stamp? Hoping for more vintage, realistic, artsy stamps; things I CAN'T draw! And all my customers agree!

Don't forget, this is the fall/winter collections catty that's coming out July 1st. So we won't have any spring/Easter sets until January.
As to what I'd like to see, I'd like some inspirational sets that aren't "cutesy," and some nice sentiment sets to replace the AYC sets. Since we have that gorgeous vintage-style set in the preview brochure, as well as the ds paper, I'm thinking we will get some more vintage in the upcoming catty. I sure hope so!

I want a really good horse set, maybe something brushstroke-horse like...I haven't liked most of the horse sets that have come out. I would love to have a little girl-mom-horse image, maybe in the Bella style or Paris in the Spring style? I love the saying "I know one little girl who would rather clean a stall than her own room"...maybe a "Loads of love" add on set that would be a horse trailer, a camper, a boat...Also wine stamps, although I know that's a long shot. Maybe some realistic looking wine labels, etc.
