What are the stamping pioneers doing now?

Things are changing in stamping. Things are changing everywhere in everything! What are some of the stamping pioneers and innovators like Suze Weinberg, Dee Gruenig, Julia Andress, Mary Jo McGraw and Robin Beam doing now? And more recently Tim Holtz, and Michael Strong, two of the newer stampers? i saw Judy of Judykins recently who continues to have great booths at shows and we talk about some of the old times.

Does anybody know anything?

I don't know but I love Tim Holtz.

Mary Jo McGraw is still writing, teaching classes, etc. She lives in the Northwest as far as I know. She's teaching some classes in mixed media here in Spokane.

Suze is still involved with Ranger and with her own website business. Julia is still with Ranger, I think...seems like I was just reading an interview with her somewhere...

And Tim is worldwide, lol...his website is fabulous. He's off on tour everytime you turn around, I think...he was recently in Africa and posted some fantastic pictures.

Dee Grunig was at Angela's Happy Stamper in Reston VA doing a class earlier this year....

Dee's more recent work can be seen at Sunday International...recently adding the watercolor look to flowers, fruit, etc. There are some remakes of her older work also and new fun verticals sets...all can be viewed/purchased through Sunday International. She made a full length video approx 4-5 years ago, which I view again and again

Definitely check out Tim Holtz' blog (timholtz.typepad.com), he posts wonderful videos all the time, he's so generous with his techniques and creative process. I think I read Mary Jo has a new book coming out?? I took classes with her a few years ago, I highly recommend them! And I've seen Micheal doing alot of videos at the Scrapbook lounge.

Dee's husband keeps all the Posh fans up to date on Dee's doings at Club Posh at www.poshimpressions.com.
Michael Strong teaches at a stamp store near me and features a new stamp of his design every few weeks.
I am old so I can remember when you could watch stamping on TV at least three shows per day. Miss those friends! Others I have been wondering about are Jane Beard (Museum of Modern Rubber) and Mary O'Neill (Hot Potatoes) and Ana Arugio (rep'd for a few different companies on Carol DuVall Show).

Suze Weinberg blogs about her ongoing adventures. She certainly has a lot of fun!

Ohhh...me too! I still mourn Carol Duvall...HGTV has nothing anymore.

well they are all still quite active on the *scene* - robin beam still does work for ranger and i hung out with her a bit at CHA (her sister is my rep at ranger) and she is also head of AC Moore education i think, julia andrus had a fight with cancer most recently but i do have her latest book which is absolutely incredible - paper transformed i think is the name, tim and suze are still very very active in ranger and i saw both of them at CHA as well and took a class with tim and suze was there hanging out.

I sooo agree! Of course, they waited until I was retired and free during the day to take her off.

I miss Carol Duvall too

I got to attend a live Christmas performance with a large audience that featured Dee Gruenig on the day I was there. She was vivacious and entertaining as usual.

Did you know that Executive Producer Rob Weller of the Carol Duvall show invented the wave for football games when he was a cheerleader there about 25 years ago? He and the other executive producer Gary Grossman are really funny and a little wild. I heard that once when Dee was filming with Carol, Grossman threw a huge spitball that went between Carol's and Dee's faces stopping the cameras. He then went to Carol and joked to Carol that she was fired and told Dee to take over. I hear you never knew what would happen.

Did you see the Christmas special when Rob Weller dragged Dee out of a closet to appear on film where she supposedly was locked up from the previous year's Christmas special so she would be ready to appear?

I have met Carol and she is pretty amazing. Now that her show is gone there is no-one and maybe nothing to replace her or the excellent instruction that they did on that show.

The Carol Duvall Show was replaced by another craft show. I have never seen it. Have you seen it and what is your opinion?

HERE is Mary O'Neil's blog. She doesn't post often. She says it is just her running *Hot Potatoes* now. I'm sure it soared due to Carol Duvall's show and their stamping cruises.
Holy cow, I so miss Carol. She and all the wonderful guests got me into stampin'. HGTV cut off their nose to spite their face!!! The other craft shows were a waste of $$. Carol made sure we got complete inst. and they were posted on the site with great pictures. Ladies, a beautiful era has passed.
May God bless, Sandi
