what size cardstock do you prefer?
I was reading another thread and it got me wondering... what size cardstock do you order? 8.5 x 11 or 12 x 12?
I have a bunch of 12x12 and just cut it down. Seems to work ok, and then I have a lil left over for layering. Just curious what others do..... |
Most of my cardstock is 8x11 but I have started buying 12x12 as well. Both have their place in a well stocked stamp room :D
Mostly 8.5 x 11 cardstock, but I also use 12x12 if I happen to have that certain color..
I buy 12 x 12 because I scrap in 12 x 12...that way I can use it as bkgrnd paper for my albums or cut it down for cards, with a little left over for layering :)
I buy 8 1/2 x 11, but I do have some 12 x 12. I make cards and it's easy to cut the paper in half with 8 1/2 x 11.
8.5x11 is easier for me to store than 12x12. Plus too, I think you get a better deal and it is easier to just cut in half. I'm one of those cheap people who basically make a card front and then glue it on a piece of vanilla paper. That way I get to save more of my CS for other stampin projects and still have lots left over for scraps!
I don't scrapbook too much so 8.5 x 11 is my favourite for making cards.

what size cardstock do you prefer
I use mostly 12 x 12 since I scrapbook in that size and its no big deal to cut down to size.
8.5 x 11 baby. I'm not a scrapper just a crazy stamper!:D
8.5x11 for the most part. I can never get the 12x12 to fold right if I cut it down. I am NOT a scrapper lol
I buy 8.5 x 11 in single color packs, and occassionally buy 12 x 12 in color family packs. I am getting away from 12 x 12 scrapping and mostly doiing 6 x 6, with a few 8.5 x 11 albums. And of course tons of mini albums.
I buy 8.5 x 11 mainly because it's easier for me to store. I have some 12 x 12 but I have to keep it in a drawer and I forget about it.
I buy 12x12 in color families for scrapbooking. I have only boughten 3 packs so far. I buy a lot more 8 1/2x11 for making cards. I usually just use one sheet of 12x12 as the base for my pages, then use the other size for the layers and accents.
Both ;)
Well I used to do 12 x 12 for scrapbooks and 8 1/2 x 11 for cards. Then there was this deal at the craftstore near me with 12 x 12 paper being 25 sheets for $2.99 and I couldn't resist. So now I've been cutting the cardstock down which leaves me with some for matting which is pretty nice. Only thing I don't like is that sometimes I get tired of cutting but that happens with the 8 1/2 x 11 too.
Most of the time I buy 8 1/2 x 11. I'm just starting to scrapbook and most of the pages I have made were 8 1/2 by 11 or smaller. If I start doing more scrapbooking, I may purchase the 12 x 12 sheets.
12x12 for scrapping and 8.5X11 for card making!
8.5 x 11 for cards & 12 x 12 for scrapping.
I always use 8.5 x 11 (called A4 in the UK). We have only recently seen a boom in sales of 12 x 12's here, but I will certainly be investing in some soon.
I buy 8.5 x 11 for cards and 12 x 12 for scrapbooking.

8 1/2 x 11......I want to start scrapping but so far it's just card making for me! You can make two cards with the 8 1/2 x 11 and can still only make two cards with the 12 x 12.
I do both. 8.5 x 11 for card making and 12 x 12 for scrapbooking.
When all I did was scrapbook, I stuck mostly to 12x12.
Now that I do so much cardmaking, the smaller size is best! |
i buy the 81/2 x 11 by habit and laziness because it's easier to cut into 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 . but...after reading some posts by you girls i may buy both for layering and extra scrap..makes sense.
