Default What are people doing with those letters?

You know those white wooden letters that are about 4" tall that you can get at Michaels (or where ever)? I bought a "B" for my friend's new baby (Brooklyn) and am sitting here with no ideas. I know I've seen some cute ones here, and honestly have no idea why I can't recall a thing (maybe its the heat?), any ideas???

I am still working on mine aka going back and forth and back and forth doing a little here and a little there. Started out Mod Podging some paper and are now contemplating which kind of embellishments I want to use and whether or not to do any distressing type thing to it.

Hi Sarah,

I'm not sure if you're looking for pictures of different uses for the letters or the same idea, just more samples?

Here's an article on decorating (altering) letters with paint and ribbon:
Altering Letters

I'm going to collage photos on some for Christmas gifts but I don't have any done yet. Got this idea from an Oriental Trading Co. catalog which I unfortunately threw away.

Another example here: Altered Letters with Photos

Another altered letter

I just typed in "scrapbook wooden letter" into Google. You could also try altered wooden letter. Hope this helps!

Sarah, if you open the example that you found, at the top of it is the gallery it comes from, Anything but a card....if you go in the there and scroll down to Home Decor, there are several pages and quite a few other letters; is that where you found this one? Good luck; I have not tried one of these yet!

The Hero Arts website has some great ideas for stamping on letters. http://www.heroarts.com - click on learning center - In the middle of the page click on Letters for Stamping Technique (Q with a crown on it). Hope this helps.
