Last 3 years of Sellabration sets. I miss the designs of the the early 2000's.

FRESH FLOWERS! Finally gave it to my DD's preschool so I don't have to look at it anymore. The kids just love stamping with it there and I feel better b/c I know it's at least getting some love somewhere!

I hated Stipple Celebrations so I gave it to a friend. Don't like Gently Falling or the one I just had to have last summer, which is Trimtastic. There must be more I can't think of since I have quite a few sets that have never seen an ink pad!

Ageless Adornment. I didn't buy it.. it was a doorprize. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not really my style I guess. I think I used the butterfly stamp once and that's it for the whole set.

My regrets would probably be the Little Layers sets. I refuse to get rid of them though on the off chance that someday, maybe someday, I will need a little fish stamp or a kite for some reason. I'm just a hoarder.

Well, it was actually a free set with purchase about 5 yrs ago called Hearts & Posies. It made it into the big catalog and it seemed that everyone owned at least one more sets of it. It was pretty hard to unload, but I did.

Something Nice, this was from awhile back, picked when I signed on as a demo. Made maybe two cards with it; didn't like either 'em. It's long gone now, yeah.

Fresh flowers came in my starter kit, but I did add to the loss by buying (and only using once) the brass template and TREAT YOURSELF. I thought I could do lots w/that one--not so much. This year I resisted the temptation for catalog presale--very glad I did. Anyone want to trade?

I'm surprised at how many floral sets have been named. I am not a big fan of any of them but my upline said I better invest in some because most stampers love them. Heartfelt Thanks was recommended in the starter kit but I got Unfrogettable instead (love it.) I only like one flower set out of the whole IBC, and that's Sassy Stems (don't have it yet though.)

I do have and use some of the others mentioned here - Sketch It, Figures of Speech - I love Carte Postale but also have not been able to do anything impressive with it. That's partly because I can't demo it and haven't had much time to spend playing with it.

My one regret set - Jolly Holiday from the Holiday mini. It's cute and all, and I used it several times at Christmas, but I bought it because of the Santa, and I bought Holiday Tag Team (Time?) as well and didn't realize it had a Santa that was very similar. Then after I tried cutting the Jolly Holiday Santa out (very long curly mustache. . .) I hated it.

If ever there was a set to "kick myself" for getting, it's Fresh Flowers. The only cards I ever made with it were 2 completely cased samples ... and that's only because I just couldn't let it sit & stare off the shelf without having even used it.

The moral of this story: Some decisions just should not be made into 'decisions' at all.

me too...first set i ever bought then ended up using it only 3x and that was it. i sold it last year. also terrific tulips. just couldn't make anything nice with it. i think it's the missing outline that i don't like about it...well, now that i bought it. so will be selling that soon.

Default Ha!

I've got you all beat!

I got suckered into buying off Ebay, yes, all those listed by Melanwee - Gently Falling, Simple Somethings, Fabulous Four, Lexicon of Love (which I have traded - but now wish I had held), Fun Filled, Love Notes, etc etc.

Yeah, I saved a lot over the original retail price, but there was a reason they were dirt cheap.

My latest 'mistake' was Bundle Up - absolutely lusted after this set from the first time I saw it. I have had it 4+ months now, it is still unmounted on the bottom of my pile of sets....

Print Pattern - I managed to get hold of it about a year ago. It was showing up a lot in the gallery at the time and I decided I just had to have it. I've used it once and that was about 2 weeks ago Still I learned my lesson about not letting what's popular in the gallery to influence my purchases anymore

Mine would have to be A Tree for All Seasons, Mini Mates (only used the cute little opossum and 'Hang in There' sentiment from that set!), Cute Converse, Fun Filled, Designer Tag Punch Box. I LOVE the Designer Tag stuff, but I have not been able to come up with much!

Not sure how I acquired these, but the ones that I struggle with are Gently Falling, Elegant Ornaments, Stippled Stencils and Timeworn Trim.

Oh, Print Pattern is my favorite b/g stamp at this time! My 'wish I hadn't bought' stamp set is Frolicking Frogs...LOVED it when I first saw it in the catalog, but can't seem to do a thing with it!

Default I wish I had not bought

A if for Adorable as the Level II set we could preorder last year. I thought I would use it for scrapbooking, at least, and it is not touched yet! It took me this long since the original post to even think of one set I regret! I guess that's pretty good for all the sets I have.

Mine was Merry Minstrels. I thought it looked like a cute Christmas set; used it once or twice and knew it would set so was able to trade it to someone. Hope they are enjoying it.

This has been such a fun thread to read. When I first became a demo, I just bought everything I thought was cute. Some sets I never cracked open. I stopped doing that and I now make sure I would use the set set a lot before I purchase. I have lots of sets I regret but the one that is sitting on my shelf would be Headline Alphabet. I never use it. It's just sitting there. I also have 3 monogram stamps that have never seen ink but at least they are my kids initials. Maybe I'll challenge myself to use these stamps!

I think it was called Sun, Moon & Stars. Did one card and then hated it!
That was the one set that I actually just threw away. AWK!
I've really been trying to not impulse buy these days. If I don't see at least a dozen great cards on SCS that I see myself making with a set, I will not purchase it.

A couple of my "sell-a-bration" sets I could live without... but technically, I didn't "buy" them, so I guess that doesn't count, right? I just picked ones that maybe someone else would like to buy from me (very reasonably) at a later date.

I truly love all the stamp sets I have purchased, even if some have yet to see ink or get very little use... I *know* the day will come when it's just the perfect set for a card! (giggles)

I know I've only been stamping a year now, but I just went thru the catty last night, and there are very few sets on my wish list anymore. (I have about 60 sets total). I think I've made good choices and I'm really happy with my purchases.

Now... if only I didn't have this pesky full-time job cramping up my stamping time... LOL!

I don't think anyone has mentioned one of my very first purchases, Nice and Easy Notes! I was a beginning stamper and it was kind of pushed on me by a friend (not my demo) and I quickly found it was not my style. I also don't like brushstroke alphabet, it is very pretty, but I just couldn't use it without rocking it! I traded both of those on here for less than 50% of their original value!!
