What is the one SU set you wish you hadn't bought???

Just wondering if anyone else out there has ever bought a rubber stamp set from SU and then never used it. I have bought a couple like that, and I know if I sell them I will wish I had them back. The one that I thought looked really cute, and had to have, and never have used it is - oh man, I forgot the name. It's the one with the shopping cart, wagon, and two other things with wheels. I guess I probably wouldn't miss this one, LOL! Let me know.

Stippled celebration comes to mind...tried it and couldn't do anything with it, so it went to my dd.

CMCAnne 03-27-2007 06:05 PM

For me it's Favorite Friends. I think I've used it once. At the time I thought it was so adorable, but once I got it I just couldn't get excited about the cards I was making with it.

Yep, never could make a card out of that set. I traded it.
Gotta love our BST section here for rotating the sets you don't use.
:)

Like it a Latte. I just can't get inspired with it. As soon as I can I'll be selling it.

I'll bet you can get a good trade for that now!

mmferg 03-27-2007 06:14 PM

Hmmm...only one!?!? I have about 15 that come to mind.

If I can only pick one I would have to say....

mixed bouquet

I see fabulous cards all the time...when I use this set it looks like a 4 year old attacked my card with markers.

steubner 03-27-2007 06:15 PM

And to answer the OP, Looks Like Spring. I just couldn't do anything with it. So I traded it to a new, happy home and never looked back!

beadfreak22 03-27-2007 06:26 PM

Noteworthy. I detest it.

laurakj 03-27-2007 06:28 PM

The one the OP is talking about is The Wheel Thing and that would have to be the one I had to have and have yet to do anything I like with it :(

crafty1021 03-27-2007 06:29 PM

I have a few as well. Am looking to unload them to a loving home soon. A non-stamp item I purchased and regret is my ink caddy. Hoping to move that to a new home soon too!

PattiLynn 03-27-2007 06:29 PM

Hmmm...good question. I always have a hard time with Flower Filled. I really don't even try to make cards with it....it does nothing for me!!!

housefan 03-27-2007 06:38 PM

Noteworthy and Looks Like Spring. Sold them both recently.

Same here, though even dd is not thrilled with it.
Funny how folks have said noteworthy--mine hardly ever gets put away since I use it so much.

Yes, I probably need to list it, plenty of sets I'd rather have! I had a set from a different mini - Long Time Friend. I loved it, had to have it............then found it really hard to use, again, couldn't get the inspiration. I sold that one to a friend.

trudee 03-27-2007 06:53 PM

Treat Yourself. WHAT was I THINKING?! http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...huhsmileyf.gif

StampinAK 03-27-2007 07:01 PM

Oh boy, this is a tough one! I would have to say "Long-Stemmed" I just can't seem to come up with ideas on this one!

LMstamps 03-27-2007 07:04 PM

FUN-Filled. I have never yet used it...I even got the brass template that matches! :-) LM

Mahloumel 03-27-2007 07:09 PM

Figures of Speech. It looked SO versatile etc etc and so far the main use I like for it has been on tags. I made like two nice cards total with it, and I just hope those haven't helped sucker anyone else into getting this set.

It's interesting to see some of my fave stamp sets listed here. :)

tankgirl 03-27-2007 07:39 PM

totally fresh flowers, i only got it cause it was suggested in the starter kit, it is the UGLIEST stamp set i own! isn't it odd how your stampin' tastes change the longer you are a stamper?

Ferg 03-27-2007 07:42 PM

My ink caddy. I finally got it to spin but I still don't like it much:(

momof3boys 03-27-2007 07:44 PM

I have a few but the one that comes to mind is treat yourself.

The Wheel Thing. I love that set and can't seem to stop using it. :)

I have quite a few. Shapes and Shadows, Treat Yourself, Something to Celebrate, Collage Alpha...the list goes on.

buzzy 03-27-2007 07:57 PM

Simple Sketches for me...I've only been able to case a few cards with it!

*snort*

That was funny. Maybe Kameron was the one who attacked your card with markers.

emmiestamps 03-27-2007 08:25 PM

I would have to say Noble deer , just not my thing.

lisavengesta 03-27-2007 08:35 PM

i hate the ink caddy thing too; i bought it because my friend raved about it. it's heavy, feels wobbly, doesn't spin that great, and the bottom with the pad is all gross because the weight has jacked it up...
i don't like the girlfriends set... and believe it or not, i don't really like gorgeous grapevines; i like that it's a two step stamper; and i like the cards it makes, i just don't personally like using it...

GarnetJ 03-27-2007 09:04 PM

"Farm Fresh" I didn't read the words before I bought them. The puns are pretty dumb. I was new to SU and didn't know that I could have traded them for a different set.

thecardpixie 03-27-2007 09:11 PM

The one I have the most frustration with is Best Blossoms. Technically, I didn't buy it, since it was a SAB set. I saw tons of beautiful cards with it - had to have it - still haven't come up with anything except trash-worthy creations.

douthit5 03-27-2007 09:16 PM

OUCH! Well I have to say is....dah dah dah.. Sweet Shapes. I also have a basic shapes>? I wanna say that was part of suggested items from the demo kit. I have used the words from sweet shapes and that is it. The blocks in the background are so yuck for me. I have to admit that paisley and polka dot are hard too, but I am sooooooo trying to make it work because I just love the stamps, but I become completely inept when I try to use them I guess it's a RubberFreeze! haha

jailbirdstamper 03-27-2007 09:17 PM

12 days of christmas... but I *can't** let it go!

friendly63 03-27-2007 09:47 PM

Carte Postale you all made it look good but it's dead for me, no movement, no life to it, it just sits there :)

scrappersister 03-27-2007 09:49 PM

Voila! I have not used it yet. I will but to be honest......the set does not inspire me. :)

Mary

scrappersister 03-27-2007 09:50 PM

Oh and Carte Postale for me too. There are a few other sets that I wish I had not purchased. I have promised myself to start buying only the sets that I will absoluetly use from now on.

Mary

friendly63 03-27-2007 09:55 PM

I made that a New Years resolution.... I made it until the spring mini came out :)

2Ps Mama 03-27-2007 10:45 PM

Sketch an Event

It was one of my first sets, and I thought it was cool because it looks so versatile, but it's a bit too simple for me. Oh well...I think it will end up in the kids' stash

dolphinprncss03 03-27-2007 11:10 PM

i didnt buy this one i got it for hostessing my show its the ALL AROUND ARGYLE.
i just cant find a use for it.

skdeleeuw 03-27-2007 11:52 PM

I didn't buy it technically, because it came in my demo kit and I didn't trade it, but I can't do anything with "Heartfelt Thanks". I wish it would go away! I really wish it would end up on the retired list, because then I would have a reason to get rid of it!

Oh, that's one of my favorite's!! Funny how what works for one doesn't for another!

lisavengesta 03-28-2007 02:00 AM

*lol* i was thinking the same thing. i love voila; i made a really cute birthday card with it.
