My 14 year old has become an expert at telling me if I should use a red with a yellow undertone or a blue undertone. Poor kid. I've promised not to tell anyone that he knows the difference now.

I started when the day we had to euthanize Bob (the cat) and got our hamster marshall back (the same day). It was just such an incredible story and I'd told it so many times that day, that I decided to begin a blog so i wouldn't have to tell the same story over and over again!
My blog amuses me. (I think I'm funny). So it's basically for my pleasure, but I'm glad other people like it and I've started adding a lot more of my projects on there.

I decided to blog because I felt like I wasn't finding time to stamp for me ... I find the blog pushes me to stamp (pushes in a good way) and I've tried a ton of new techniques, new products, new papers, etc that I wouldn't have otherwise done!

I would definitely agree with Erika that I've felt like I've regained my love for stamping and with JulieHRR that I can use to see my work progress.

I started my blog in 2004 (really 2005 since it was only two days before the new year). It was for family and friends that wanted to know what was going on with the kids.

I started blogging in 2001. I was going through a hard time and needed a place to kind of work things out. It ended up becoming much more than that and I loved it. The old blog was/is anonymous and I still write there occasionally.

Then blogs became really popular and I found that I wanted to do more than I could on the old site, so I switched to blogger and stopped writing anonymously. It's totally different now and I don't tend to write the "deep" stuff I used to. I write about fun and silly things and include a lot more pictures. I really enjoy being able to add pictures to my posts. It's more like scrapbooking! (my husband also started driving over the road, so he is my biggest blog fan. He has fun checking in and seeing what we're up to)

Now that I've started to post more of my projects on the blog, I've really re-connected with my stamping. It's kind of rekindled the creative fire and I love it. I want to try new things so that I can take a picture and post it on my blog.

Ah but I wish I were that witty! Credit must be given to Allison (stampinwhenIcan) for that pithy phrase...I believe it is a combination of surfing and blogging...or surfing the blogs? Whatever it is...I do it every morning! *grin*

I started mine to share card ideas and news with my Mom and some friends that live all over the US.

I like that posting makes me organize my thoughts and think about why I made what I made. It often makes me think about what I'd do differently next time or leads to ideas for more projects.

I don't think too many people read my blog, but that's OK - I do it mostly for me (and Mom ) anyway.

I'll read it, don't worry. Everyone has a great idea.

I started my blog because I wanted to learn how to do it. I am still learning, but now I can post pictures and move things around a little. It gives me great satisfaction to use the computer in a larger capacity.

I also am trying to take better pictures and when I see how others photgraph their work, as compared to mine, I try to do a better job composing shots etc.
KWIM?

I also like to post my work; it doesn't matter if anyone else reads it. I do it for me. (I'm not a SU demo)

I started one to keep in touch with my very few customers, and to have a space of my own they can check in on that isn't so overwhelming. I am hoping it will help keep me stamping and posting samples, and also to start back into scrapping again.

Hi AJ, I just checked out your blog and am going to link it on my page (I LOVE what you've posted!) but I noticed I can't gush about your stuff in comments, they are disabled for me.

Do a lot of people not have the option for comments on their blog? Whats the reasoning behind this? just curious

I had the option on, and then I turned it off.... I didn't really think to many people would actually comment I guess!!
I have gone back and forth on it, and maybe I will turn the option back on! I am *so* glad you started one, now I can link your also!!

I just started blogging in the past month. I started it with the intention doing a card or project a day and hoping the blog would keep me accountable. That has not happened.

I think during the summer and we are all home from school I might be able to do that. I will also be missing the daily adult contact then, so I might really need it.

A while ago, I saw something online like a blogging challenge, where it gave you ideas of things each day to post about, etc. Wish I could find that know.

I started mine, firstly because I saw so many great ones out there and thought it would be neat to start my own. Secondly, my customers love checking out all the new things I am up to in between splurges. Thirdly, I was kinda sick of answering emails about how I made the cards I uploaded. So I explain it one time on my blog. Also, blogging is fun!

I started mine partly to share more project information with my customers and partly to get me stamping more for fun. I found that I was just stamping last minute for things or for classes and not to play. The blog makes me take time each week (ok most weeks) to just have fun and play with my toys!

I started my blog to share my cards and life with my family as they all live so far away. But i love seeing a diary of my work, seeing all the ups and downs it is so fun to watch progress and creativity grow.
