I am constantly searching ebay hoping for a lucky shot at

Wild Wild West
Yeehaw
Happy Trails
Winter is Calling
Old Fashioned Christmas
Cowboy Christmas
Equestrain Dreams (I bought this one for my Goddaughter when it was still current. Of course, she has moved a few times in the last 5 years and can't seem to find it)

I will admit in a moment of weakness I paid $49 for Yeehaw. All the other rare stuff I have I waited, stalked, and snatched up bargains when I found them =)

I actually have a couple of the sets above and may part with one or two older sets, but there are others that I'd never give up. I check the ISO forum almost daily - sometimes if someone really wants something, you might realize that you don't really use it that much.

I've thought the same thing about SU catching on, too ~ of course, this time they did add a soldier set, so maybe there's something to it. I agree that an updated Girl Scout set is a great idea. My daughter would like to be in Girl Scouts and I know I'd want something more current for it anyway.

And I agree also that ebay is usually outrageous, but it's worth checking because sometimes a set will 'fly under the radar' and end up being reasonable.
I just wanted to point out that the Serenite set is actually still current in the Canadian SU catty for Spring and Summer. So if you really want it just post in the BST and I'm sure you could find a Canadian demo you could trade with.

Ok, there was a set a few years back with the fourth of july theme and a country angel on it. I saw it on ebay a few days ago, but it was gone before I even could read the name of the set. I love this set!! Anyone have any idea what the name might be??

I buy on ebay a lot, the most I have paid is 17.50 and that was shipping included for headline alphabet!! I usually get most things for 10 or under. I am a SAHM so I can get on frequently and pounce on the sets at the last minute if no one has bid on them yet.

I think it's Americana Collection:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Stampin-Up-Ameri...QQcmdZViewItem

Note that this is not the same as the SU set "Americana". I hunted down Americana Collection after seeing this card by Princess Ink:

Troops in Iraq Card 1 by princessink at Splitcoaststampers

Hope that helps

The most I paid for a set was scouts at play--$45 and worth every penny.

I picked up Yeehaw here, NUM, for $25 shipped. I still haven't mounted it like 18 mo. later. I just hate to do it because I figure it will be good for a trade at some point.

I watched e-bay for many and got a few high priced but always wanted Happy Trails but it was just too much, paid way too much for Fishin', Construction and Special Greetings and Favorite Greetings. But I will keep them at the prices I paid.....

That isn't the one I was talking about....but that card is absolutely adorable!! I may have to do some more hunting on ebay.

This set just had an angel...a little country and a little whimsy and stars around her. She was a long stamp. Then the others were I think stars and maybe a saying...hmm. Like I said I only got a quick glimpse of it, but i know i loved it.

Thank you so much for trying!!!! I appreciate the help...however you have noe perked my interest to other stamps ... it never ends!

Smile Sales offer for this thread!

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading all of the posts and obviously many of you have searched high and low for treasures. So, instead of adding these to my regular BST post, I thought I'd offer them to you all first. Here are a few sets that I've realized I probably won't use extensively, so I'll just stamp out some images and pass them along to loving homes . I don't think these prices are outrageous, and I hope you agree. Also, I'm unmounting and wouldn't want to be tempted to 'devalue' these .

In case I get a lot of requests, I thought I should just do it first-come, first-serve just like on BST. I hope you all think that's fair. I mean, maybe no one will really want these, I don't know  .

If you have an opinion, let me know, and maybe if there are a lot of requests for a set, I can write down the names and by tomorrow at noon, put the names in a hat and draw them. Do you all think that would work??

Oh well, I'm probably going on and on for no reason at all ~ so here are the sets!

Equestrian Dream $35
The Gifts of Spring $30
Spirit of the Season $23
Along the Shore $20

Now, I don't check all over the place for the 'going prices' but from what I've seen in the past, and the scarceness of these, I think the prices are fair.

Wow, I feel more nervous than when I put them in BST!! I feel like I *know* you all... Just send me a PM by noon tomorrow if you are interested in any of these sets! Priority flat rate shipping is extra.

I look forward to hearing from you ! Nancy

I could kick myself for not buying I Like It A Latte. Every card made with this set looks so cute. Ugh.

I found courage and honor on here a year ago for $22. IT is brand new adn unmounted. SO now that I have it I don't want to USE it because then it would not be *new* however I don't want to SELL it either, so did I actually win anything? (I got the wheel too)

My former upline sold me sweet herbs for $10 and the herb garden (name escapes me) set from the mini last year matches it pretty well.

I'd be curious to know the name of that as I don't have last year's mini catalog. Anyone know??

I bought Dragons and Dreams a few years ago on Ebay and NEVER used it. I am considering putting it back up on Ebay.

I bought I like it a latte when it came out but never used it yet. I seem to have many sets in that catagory, bought but never used.

Dreamcatcher is one of my favorites! I probably paid too much, but I love that set. I wish I could find Wild Wild West affordably.

I am hoping that the 20th year will bring back some very wanted sets (insert crossed fingers here)

I really want:

Wild Wild West
Coast to Coast
Dream Catcher
Yukon

I would be happy if they brought just Wild, Wild, West back for another go around, I would be sure to snatch it up this time.

I bought dreams and dragons on SCS for about 30 dollars. I've used it so much, it was worth every dime. I wonder how much is was originally?

For OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS did you try the ISO thread? I got mine on there for $20.00 last fall. Sometimes you can get really lucky on the ISO as other SCSers are just trying to clean out there closets!

Someone just posted a site in the thread about new stamp companies: www.incrediblestamps.com. They have a ton of classic car stamps - maybe that will fill the need until you can get the SU! set

If I could only count the times I have passed on a Retired set only to regret it later!! Hindsight is 20/20 for sure!
I had a list of Retired sets and actually bought the following either here or e-bay:
Polar Pals $5.00 unmounted and PERFECT
Fishin'
Antique Autos $12.00 (never used!)
Feathered Hope fr $15 at a local garage sale
Sweet & Simple Salutations $5 at a local garage sale

I would still love to pick up Penquin Paradise and Gone Fishing, but not for $$$!! Okay, off to surf e-bay. You girls are so bad.

Someone paid almost $300 for Wild Wild West for few days ago. I had to look because I forgot what it looked like. Crazy!

I GOT IT I GOT IT.

After months of searching, I actually found the set new and unmounted and paid only about $15 more than a used set on ebay.

I'm off to do the happy dance now!!!!! Man what a great day!
