Default Need help for memorial service please

I've been very fortunate to not have to attend many funerals but yesterday a close friend passed away very unexpectedly. I'll be starting on memorial service projects and scrapbooks for her teenage daughter. I'd love to have any ideas that anyone has for me. I know the hospital gave the husband her handprint, wedding rings etc. I need to know how to preserve these.
Please post an ideas & photos that you have or email them to me lesliereams @ yahoo.com.
I don't have any experience with this so I'm posting to my friends on a couple of message boards because I know all of you are so helpful Thanks again.

The husband also has a voice mail from her that he wants to preserve. Does anyone know how I can do that?

the voicemail - can he download it to a MP3 file or something like that? or to one of those recordable cards? I know Stampin' Up listed them in their mini-catalog recently and I know I've seen them in Hallmark but they're usually themed. The SU one could be decorated in colors that your friend loved.

I'm going to check out the longevity of the voice-recordable devices from SU and such. I'm going to have to enlist some more tech savvy friends as I'd hate to mess up something like that.
Thanks for the idea.

I don't remember the details but my DH contacted our cell phone provider to have the last voicemail from my late sister saved "online." This was a few years ago so there may be more options available now.

Very sorry for your loss.

Since its Christmas and you are a stamper you get a small tree and punch out circles and tie gold string on them for ornaments. People could right short memories on the paper ornaments and hang them on the tree.

Wow Stampnf1n! What a great idea. You could punch out all types of shapes and when the memorial is ended you can take those "memories" and scrap them with photos of her??

Anyhow, I think your idea is brilliant!

Sorry Leslie for your loss.....

Thanks it was an instant brainstorm! It could be called a Gift of Memories Tree or something like that.

Sorry for the loss of your friend Leslie.

Leslie, this is a wonderul thing you are doing for your dear friend's family.

Here is one other idea for your consideration:

Scrap your friend's favorite family recipes. If her mother survives her, she might also have special recipes that might not get passed down to the granddaughter under these circumstances.

The scrapping could be very simple (like this soup recipe card), perhaps done in some of your friend's favorite colors.

Who knows, your friend's DH might even want to save the scrapbook to give to their daughter as a wedding gift some day. . . .
