What does this card need?

I can't figure out what this card is missing or what I should change. It just doesn't look completely right like this! The ribbon is not as shiny IRL.

Thanks for your help!

Oh, it looks pretty to me. The only think I can think of would be to add another layer of carstock under the main image?? Maybe in the lighter green ?? color. I really like the BG.

So, maybe another layer of Sage Shadow underneath the Handsome Hunter? Is that what you mean?

Maybe it'll be helpful to give the rest of the colors. The base is Vintage Violet stamped with Fine Lace in Craft White; the image is stamped in Vintage Violet and Elegant Eggplant on Sage Shadow which is matted onto Handsome Hunter.

Perhaps the ribbon should be purple instead of green (or less shiny).

Stamping is always a matter of individual taste but-
I would re-stamp the T image on a lighter color of (green?) paper, and "pop" it up from the main image. Make that the center of focus of the cards.

* I like the idea of one more layer of Sage Shadow under the Handsome Hunter. Make sure each layer is only a teensy bit wider than the next.

* I usually make things asymmetrical, not as perfectly balanced as this card. So, I might move the copper spiral thingy over toward the left a bit and then I might add one more eyelet up in the right hand corner of the Handsome Hunter.

Thanks for all your advice ladies. So what do you think of this card? Is it better?

GarnetJ, I tried to scoot the hardware over, but my a n a l-retentiveness just wouldn't allow it. It's very difficult and takes so much effort and energy from me to make a card that is not symmetrical. You laugh, I'm sure, but that's just how I am. I look at cards with envy when I see that someone is brave enough to do that, because I am not.

Again, thanks for looking and for your input.

It's a lovely card before and after! That corner punch is perfect with the stamp, and the extra layer does emphasize the focal point a bit better.

fancier corners

Maybe add something to the background corners...

Your card is gorgeous the way it is, maybe rounding the corners of the main piece and adding some brads to the Hunter layer?? Like I said it is gorgeous the way it is.
