What Do You Want for Mother's Day?
My husband asked me if I wanted a new grill for Mother's Day. I asked him if he wanted stamps for Father's Day!
What does everyone want this Mother's Day?

I would love a couple of hours to myself to get some stamping done!! But my DH took the kiddos out this morning to get my present.......pretty sure it will be new muffin pans. Since I make muffins about twice a week - I *really* need new ones. And the kiddos will love picking them out!!

Ditto for me! You would think they would go for it (as it's free and doesn't require any shopping)!

Now I know I need to go back into the reporgraphic industry. I am missing out on some cool toys to use.
Back before being a stay at home mom at worked at a company that had all that kinda of stuff. (craftrobo). But, I wasn't crafty at the time.
I asked for a Cuttlebug and got it earlier in the week. And my husband was out yesterday garage saleing and got me a few really cool stamps.

Me too! That is definitely how I want to spend today, at least. I also want some 'me time' to hit my LSS and then stamp stamp stamp! My DH gives me a couple hours off each week, but it's always spent getting the grocery shopping done.

Hmm - I think you need to renegotiate your contract
If you are getting a couple hours off each week, but are spending it getting the grocery shopping done - then you really are not getting that time off. Who is your agent? You need to fire her and hire me to negotiate a better deal

Okay everyone, don't hate me, but I've had mother day all week. My husband and my son have gone to Holland & Germany for soccer for the week and will be back Mother's day night. So, I also took the week off of work and stamped my heart out. Mind you, I made about 30 cards and sold most of them. They took the camera with them so I couldn't share any pictures. I played in the garden, I shopped and I hung out with my friends and we stamped. Oh the life. And as they fly in tomorrow night, I'm sure that they bought me lots of goodies from their travels. Hopefully chocolate, lol...

I want "my" space! The 2 DS's and the DH have their "stuff" everywhere. When I want to stamp or scrap, it's the kitchen or dining room table, which always has be cleared off when I'm done.

I have already had an awesome Mother's Day! Last year stunk, and with 5 grown kids and 5 grandkids, I had my expectations and I felt unloved and unappreciated.
So this Mother's Day, I decided to send cards to all the mothers in my life (my mother is dead) and enjoy giving instead of receiving. Being a mother has been the most significant part of my life and I want to show this support to my daughters, daughter-in-laws, and stepdaughters.
Well, surprise, surprise! I have received a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure from my husband, a crop-a-dile from one of my sons, See's Candy in a gorgeous box (my favorite candy) from one daughter and a beautiful flower arrangement from my other daughter, and cards from my other 2 sons. I also gave myself an OTT lamp. AND my husband and my son who still lives at home (he has autism) have left the house for the entire day so that I can scrapbook! I am lucky indeed.

What I'd love...
I'd just like some acknowledgement that I bust my a** everyday doing for my kids and husband and I never get anything in return-not even a thank you. This year I didn't get a Valentines card, birthday card or present, and my husband tells me last night that he forgot my Mother's Day card at work. I told him not to bother driving all the way there to get it. God forbid he expend any energy doing something for my benefit. I had to tell him to make me fresh cinnamon buns for tomorrow.I bet I don't even get that. That's all I ask for. I'll be stuck at home half the day cleaning while he plays soccer.

I'm actaully waiting for him to get a new contract at work. A lot more money and I hire a housekeeper, have more money to shop for supplies and play and then he can do what ever he wants as long as the pay checks keep coming!

I'm not getting anything this year either. I spent today sorting the mound of laundry to wash tomorrow. I HATE LAUNDRY!
Last year I was expecting DD #2 and didn't get her until May 31st. So she was my belated Mother's Day gift.
I have my girls and they are a gift. I am blessed to have my babies. I would, however, like SOMEONE else to do to the cleaning. Oh and a no spending limit to my favorite LSS ( as if that will happen!) lol

I have two DDs (16 and almost 14). I want them to OFFER to do some things for me. That would be the best gift of all. I hate reminding them of every little thing that needs to be done.
It would be nice to have space to store my crafts, too. I have counted cross-stitch as well as stamps. Our house needs one more decent-sized room. That wish won't be coming true, though!

I *think* I'm getting a CB finally....although the Michael's coupon I put on our refrigerator is still there so I'm starting to wonder when he'll go out and buy it. BUT, maybe he got his parent's coupon and is psyching me out while I look at the refrigerator... He's been known to do things like.
My son and daughter both made me things at school and they always make me cards themselves and those are always really special and cute.
I chuckle at the posters who want to spend time in their garden - I have a black thumb and so I'd love it if someone would come over and plant flowers for me - I am so ignorant in that area but I appreciate other people's gardens.

I would love for some time alone after breakfast in bed. I do not think DH has even thought about planning a thing for me.
I did give him hints like breakfast in bed that he and the girls make, and time alone in the house with them at his mother's. I also wanted something that he and the girls make together for me.
We are now having neighbors over for dinner, that he asked for, I have cleaned the house for the event and mowed the lawn, while he changed his oil.....
Oh, we bought him a grill yesterday.....no Father's Day gift for him

In my wildest dreams, that what I would wish for mother's day too (well, to find out I was going to be a mom a second time over.)
But since that won't happen, I've asked for a new digital camera. We're going to Disneyland in a few weeks, and I really would like a new one before then.
The funny thing is, my husband was ready to get me some stamp sets, but couldn't find out which ones I wanted. He even had my demo work on me a bit. But I guess I didn't take the bait.

I went to my LSS and wrote down the EXACT things I wanted, including location and isle numbers!! I am getting PRIMA flowers (instead of real ones). They last WAY longer and I get more enjoyment out of them.
Happy Mother's day to all! Hugs,

I would like to get up tomorrow and REALLY appreicate all that I have. I would like the day to just drink coffee and stamp and read magazines. A day off to just be able to go to the store without having to buckle anyone into a car seat or find a lost sippy cup, but then I read this thread and there are so many women out there that would give a limb to be busy with kids. So I'll appreciate my busy life. I'll treasure the sound of the little feet running back and forth over my head while I'm downstairs doing laundry instead of telling them to calm down.
We just had another premature baby a couple of weeks ago and he didn't make it (this is the second time). Instead of being sad like I have been, I will appreciate the kids that I do have and be grateful that at least we can get pregnant.
I hope you all get what you want for Mother's Day, especially you ladies hoping to become Moms. Enjoy the day everyone
Oh and I'd like my husband to mow the damn lawn and get rid of the dead shrubs...

Well, we are leaving town leaving our kids with my parents. We are going down south to LA tomorrow and coming back home on Monday. We are going to stop by one of my favorite LSS in Bakersfield (hopefully to pick up Bind It All machine) and stop at IKEA in Burbank to grab whatever we want lol. I love IKEA lol

I do try to squeeze in a few minutes at my LSS when I'm out getting the grocery shopping done, so that is nice. My little girls and I created a flower garden this morning and this afternoon I went to my LSS. Didn't find exactly what I was looking for, but did find some nice paper and embellies to use. My Green Thumb Papertrey set came in the mail though (it was late because I ordered the back ordered grid acrylic block too) and that was a nice surprise!

I have received a handmade construction paper placemat that says, "love Anthony" from my 5yo ds. My almost 7 yods made a card at school that had a little poem and a baggie of bath beads, but then he decided to use the bath beads in his own bath (LOL!), so he felt bad and made me yet another card. My oldest dd made me a butterfly out of tissue paper and aluminum foil... she used aluminum foil and put "I [heart] U" on it. My middle daughter made me something but I don't know what it is. The baby is only 8mos so she gives me love and laughter every day. I bought myself a bike and am hoping dh will buy me a trailer to put the baby and one boy in this summer to go on bike rides.
Happy Mother's Day to you all!!

This might sound silly but I got a new bowling ball today.
I hadn't really been into bowling until I got with my fiance' and we've been league bowling for 3 years now. I'm slowly getting better and he decided he wanted to upgrade my ball so I can bowl better. (He says I'll get a higher average with a better ball). Who am I to argue?
I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day and to those who want to be mom's, I truly hope you will be next year!
Good luck ladies and enjoy "Your" day tomorrow!
