what do you prefer...outline or image stamps
Just out of curiousity, what kind of stamps do you all prefer? Outline stamps for coloring or bold image stamps for use with ink pads only?

I would have voted for both since I like each for different reasons. Instead, I voted bold, only because I have more of them than outline, probably because I'm pickier about outline stamps. If I'm gonna put all that effort into coloring something, I want it to be really cool!

I prefer bold images, I can make cards much faster with them.

Outline all the way. I've loved coloring all my life. Good coloring books became hard to find.

I used to love solid stamps, but then I hated the way they always looked blotchy, so I switched to the outline stamps and learned to color (with ink, with the WWC, with watercolor pencils, with Prismacolors and Gamsol, etc...) then I loved those Then I discovered the craft ink and the solid stamps and it solves the blotchy problem (along with using SU's WW paper!) So now, I use which ever ones I want It's good to have options!

I like both, depends on my mood and what I feel like doing. I love stamps that you can color in but I also love stamps where you get a finished look just using different color ink pads like SU's 2-step stampin. That really makes it quick and easy!

I had kind of a hard time deciding which answer to pick. Then I thought about which type I owned more of. I think most of my stamps are the outline type.
I brought my EZ Mounted "Wild About You" set with me to Mexico, a small set of markers, and some pre-scored paper plus all of my Michael's clear stamp sets. I only made about 16 cards, but it was nice to be able to just color the stamp with my markers. It turns out that one of women in our group was having a birthday while we were there, so I was able to make her a cute card. I also made a thank you card for our maid (plus a nice tip). She made the cutest origami towel critters!
Anyhow... back to the topic at hand. I like taking the time needed to color in the outline stamps, very relaxing to me. I do like the solids for quick cards though.

Another both here and it depends on time and mood for coloring as to which one I use.
