Default Monogram Letter Stamp Help!

 I just bought the monogram letter "A," so I am excited to work with it.

Can someone help me figure out a few of the techniques used on these
letters, so I have an idea what do do with mine. Thanks.

1). What is the best way to trace and trim your letter onto the chip
board? Do you trace & cut around the letter, then add color, a stamped
image and embellishments in this order?
2). What's the best way to add a border around the letter?

Thanks for your advice!!

Might need some clarification on your questions:
In #1) What do you plan to do with a chipboard monogram? Is this to hang on a wall? Will you add it to some other project? Or did you perhaps mean to say cardstock rather than chipboard?
In #2) Do you want a border that sticks out from behind the monogram? Or do you want to perhaps sponge the edges?
