Default Going Out In Style stamp set ???

Ok, I would like to know if any of you have this set: (silly question, of course you do!) Anyway, what I would like to know is How do you like it? I have a sister who is in the "Red Hat Society" and thought of getting it either for her or for me to make her a gazillon cards? I thought that set, red and purple ink pads...for her birthday in April....any suggestions?
**Also, do you think it will be added to the new catty?!?

TIA
Kathy

Default I have it

I hope it is in the new catty..... I love this set. I have one friend in the red Hat Society but I have yet to use it with those colors. I have used it with the pink and browns..... black and pinks..... yellows and blues. I just love it. In fact I have made new business cards, wishlists and door prize forms with this set on them. I'm telling you I just love it. I think if you get it you will not be disappointed.

As for the Red Hat Society... I did sell two sets two Red Hat Ladies. And they love it. The local scrapbook store here has an entire Red Hat Society collection of scrap book papers. The stamp set went really well with that.

I hope this helps!!

I love it! I've even made a bunch of cards that aren 't red and purple. Be sure to buy the wheel, too, just in case it doesn't make the catalog. (I bet it will, though).

Oh Kathy,
I'm afraid you will want to buy TWO sets, one for your sister and one for YOU! It is a blast to use. Add dazzling diamonds and fancy fiber to this lady and really have fun. I found tiny, self-adhesive rhinestones that I use with her. It really makes her jewelry pop. Also, most sets that have a matching wheel make it into the big catty. My bet is that this will be in there!!

I purchased this set and I love it.

(And I'm not a Red Hat Society member, too young at only 36!)

I've used it a lot so far.
I like hats, though... as you can tell by my avatar!

You're never too young for Red Hat Society - you just wear a pink hat and lavendar dress until your 50th birthday and "Reduation"! I attended a Reduation and the ladies in the group were a blast! I have a great customer who hasn't had her Reduation yet, but is holding a Red Hat workshop- good reminder to order my purple and red papers! I love the set too and love the saying that comes with it!

I love this set! I'm a member of the Red Hat Society, but I don't feel you have to be a member to enjoy the set and use it. Definitely get one for yourself as well as your mother, aunt, etc. You will have so much fun. Also get the wheel.

I too like this set, and I would bet that it will make it into the next big catalog because of the matching wheel (as was stated earlier).

My MIL is a Ret Hat Lady, and I made her a bunch of cards as a Christmas gift. She loved them. I should have taken the time to scan and upload them, but I didn't. I must admit that they were pretty darn cute.

I just can't find enough time to play with this set. I am loving it!! It is so much fun to find different embellishments (she cries out for bling-bling!).

But I haven't even tried a red and purple lady yet, just every other color under the sun.

I have to agree with the earlier post--you are going to want TWo stamp sets!

I, too, love this set and the Millinery wheel and have been having a great time with both. My fingers are crossed that it will be in the new catty as well for Red Hat Society is big here. I have a Red Hat workshop at my home scheduled in February and probably another one at a potential customer's home.

You don't have to be 50 to be a Red Hat??!?!!!! I don't get it. In the meantime I just wear pink and lavender?!??!!!

So what are us young'uns called... Red Hat wannabees?

Please clarify. I want to join if I can... at age 36...

Michelle, check back to page one - there is a post containing the Red Hat Society web page. The following is from there FAQ page. Hope you find a group in Racine!

Are there any rules?

There are no official rules, although we have some rather strong suggestions, the first of which is regarding red hat attire. Of course, to be a Red Hatter, one should wear a red hat and a clashing purple ensemble at all meetings to keep up the spirit and purpose of the (dis)organization. We also suggest rather strongly that women under 50 stick to the pink hat and lavender attire until THE BIRTHDAY. This adds an element of fun to aging, which we think is invaluable to women in our society who have learned to dread aging and avoid it at all costs. We believe that aging should be something anticipated with excitement, not something to dread.

i bought this set for a friend of mine - who very soon is going to join the Red Hat Society. My other friend and I got together and made a sampling of cards (all CASEd from this website) and presented it to her for Christmas. She said it was one of the VERY BEST gifts she has EVER received!

We each also made a set of cards for our mothers - who are of "the age" to join. Both loved them!

My mother bought the set, which forced me to buy the set for myself.

Kathy, I have read on here that the sets from the mini that are the most likely to make it to the catty are the ones with the matching wheels, so I think the chances are pretty good that this stamp set and wheel will make it into the next catty! Good luck in making up your mind, I personally think this stamp set would be a great gift!

I am way too young for Red Hat , I am 32. But this set is just adorable. The quote is awesome!! I hope it makes it into the catty.

I bought this set because I just loved it from first sight...that's how I pick all my sets...because I want it not because I will demo it. I think it will make it to the catalog tho.

I'm not a Red Hat person but I have a daughter that loves hats, shoes, and clothes and this is a natural for her!
