When I received my Big Blossom stamp I wondered what I was going to do with the extra rubber. I didn't want to throw it away so I thought, maybe I could cut it out with an exacto knife and have a second stamp with a reverse image on it.
So I grab my knife and start cutting - very carefully - around the edge of the flower, leaving just a little rubber rim. After I cut it out I saw this this was working so I peeled off the sticker and slapped it onto the wood block - instant stamp! Now I have two coordinating stamps from one piece of rubber.
Only problem now is that I have my blossom sitting on the table without the wood block....have to make one for it i guess.
great idea, Kurtis! I don't have that stamp yet, but your idea makes it more enticing to me! A two-fer-one. Love it. Say, can I ask where south of the Twin Cities you live? I live in Lakeville....
Just put it on the back side of the block. I did all my monograms that way. I just lined up the letter and the openings. Then I can line the images up.
I didn't like the Big Blossom set.....that is, until now!! This one might be added to my list!
I didn't think I needed it either but I liked it better than Very Punny, and I already had the delight in life stuff. Now I'm glad I bought it and it coordinates with Mini Messages from 2004 SAB.

As a sufferer of a bit of OCD/perfectionism, I'd like to say the following about how I felt cutting out the big blossom to get the negative image:
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGG GGGGGGGGGGG!
It's done. I must now rest.

I saw the pic in the gallery and thought it was a GREAT idea! But was wondering about the wood block myself. But since it was mentioned to double mount it, that's a good idea. DH will get the job of cutting at my house too. I just don't have the patience to do that one!

Now for those of us who didn't do that before...how about stamping a flower on a piece of CS, put removable tape on the back, place on the card front as a "mask" and stipple around the flower with stippling brush and inkpad? (See the Dec Stampin Success for stippling info.)

That would be a great way for people to get a similar look if they've already cut their stamp out.
