Default What is the best way to clean clear stamps?

I used Stazon to stamp on a transparency which is kept over the top of clear stamps so I know what I have.
Anywho I am having a terrible time getting the Stazon off even with the Stazon stamp cleaner.
Any ideas and how do you clean them with basic inks?

Since you're really not supposed to use Staz-on on the clear stamps, I would think the Staz-on cleaner would be equally harmful.

I have heard that Ultra Clean works well, but I don't know how good it is for the clear stamps either...sorry! Not much help I know...

I usually just rinse my clear stamps under running water and if needed use an old toothbrush with a diluted solution of Simple Green. I just experimented with the Stazon ink and a scrap edge of a clear stamp and the ink came right off with a little cooking oil applied with a paper towel. I then washed the oil residue off with liquid dishwashing soap and water. I don't know yet if this will work after the ink has been on the stamp for several days. It's worth a try as the oil should not damage the stamp.
Good Luck!

Boy do I feel like a dummy! I never even thought that for some reason the Stazon would be bad for my little babies. Dang it!
I will try cleaning them with oil but they have been dried on for several days.
Thanks.

I just got through using StazOn with my new clear stamps for the first time. It washed off just fine (I pressed them on some paper towels soaked with homemade stamp cleaner). They look and feel just fine after repeated uses (on this one project). I hope I didn't just ruin my new clear alphabet stamps (they are the ones from DJ Inkers)
