Default Ideas for christening cards?

My twin grand niece & nephew will be baptized this weekend and I don't have any appropriate sets to use to make cards for them.
Any out-of-the-box ideas for me?

I don't know about out of the box, but I like to use the set Buggies and Booties for christening cards. You could make a card with two gowns on it. Which sets do you have? Give us an idea of which you have and we could throw some ideas out there for you.

I don't have any baby sets at all -- that's the problem! Buggies & Booties would be perfect!

Have you tried iris folding? There is a pattern on www.circleofcrafters.com of a cross.

It doesn't have to be a baby set give me an idea of what sets you do have and let me think on it. I love a challenge

Default Flowers?

I think you need to go really plain and simple. White or cream is a great color for this (or something pastel from soft subtles).
  • I would think flowers could be appropriate. Everyone has those, something classic (RIW, Toile?).
  • Alphabet stamps could be used to put the child's name/initial (after all it is a naming ceremony).
  • Religious quotes could be used for a minimalistic look.

Perhaps if you share the stamp sets you have we could come up with something.

What about making a cross stencil from acetate and use that to sponge a cross background? You could use religious words or print something from your computer to layer on that.

Default Boy and Girl

CCamTP just posted two really cute cards......
Baby Girl Card
Baby Boy Card

If you can sketch the shape, you could make these with almost any set.

Thanks, ladies! I think I may try sponging a cross in some nice subtles. And maybe emboss their initials in white.
