Weekend Stamping Retreat
A friend and I are working on pulling together a stamping retreat in the spring, and I'd like some input from all of you. I've been dreaming of something like this, but have never actually been to one or even heard about one! We're thinking it would be Friday night - Sunday noon. Approximately five projects (2 cards, 1 mini project, 1 3-D home decor item, and 1 mini folding album) shown throughout the weekend, but a good amount of time for people to work on their own stuff. People bring their own munchies for Friday night, but then food is provided the rest of the weekend. We would be doing food ourselves, as the facility we're looking at doesn't offer food prep. Dorm style set-up, and people have to bring their own linens.
So what would you expect from a weekend like this? Would you want more "class" offerings? Would you want some structured social offerings, like some games or maybe movies? Would you be uncomfortable sharing space with someone you've only recently met? (Everyone will have their own bed, and I can't imagine that we'd fill the place, so people could have a "buffer" zone if desired). What's a reasonable price?
Thanks for your input!!

I have been a guest on weekends like this and have organized one myself. The cost really depends on how much you are charged for the facilities and for the food and projects. I think you are offering plenty of projects. People really like the time to work on their own stuff. A weekend getaway is so energizing!

Sounds wonderful. I've never been to one, but would love the chance! Gee, you are only one state away...

Come on - I know there are more opinions out there What activities would you want offered on your dream stamping weekend? What supplies would you want to have available?

When, where, and how much ? I want to come.
As for price, take into consideration the cost of the building, and supply fees.
I think your projects sound lovely, and folks would still have time to work on their own stuff, plus chat away leisurly.
Last year I went to a weekend retreat. It cost $150 and covered meals, activities and lodging, what a blast.
PM me the details when you finish planning, I'm fairly close by...

oops, didn't finish answering questions.
I would want some projects that were easy, and some more difficult, a new technique perhaps, but nothing that is going to take time away from another project.
I would bring basic supplies, glue, scissors, paper trimmer, ink, pencils, and stamps.
It would be nice to have some sort of die cutter there if the project calls for one, and enough table space for each participant.
