wedding favors
 

I will be making 200 wedding favors for my cousin. I am thinking they will be my gift to her... :) I have until May.
Should I do 2 nugget boxes? Or is that too much? I have been searching for ideas and haven't really come up with anything else...

Thanks for any advice about such a big project!

I think the Nugget idea is great. You can personalise the wrapper using the gorgeous stamp sets seen around recently for just that purpose, e.g. Papertreyink and others. Maybe put their names and the date? I did a wedding a few months ago (invites, name cards, etc.) and made the name cards into a sort of 'tent' (pic here: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...00&ppuser=5050)
That way you could put the Nugget/s inside the 'tent', like I did with the almonds in this set. Just a thought anyway ...

I've done this one a couple of times ... We bought hershey's bars and wrapped them with 6x6 papers relating to the wedding colors, tied a ribbon around them, then stuck a scalloped circle tag on them. We used the computer to print the text and then punched it out. This cost less than 50 bucks for 150 favors but yet looked so personal. There were 4 of us assembling them and it only took about an hour. One person cutting 12x12s into 4 pieces, one wrapping the bar, one tying the ribbon, and the last person punching the tag and sticking it on.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do. Handmade favors are so much neater than the typical and such a special gift for your cousin!!

since I will be planning a wedding for my daughter soon, I'll be watching for more good ideas...

I made little cello bags of Hershey's kisses for my niece's wedding. Her colors were purple and silver. I bought dark chocolate kisses in purple foil and the milk chocolate in silver foil. The bag toppers were eggplant cardstock and stamped and embossed in silver. I had a stamp made through CTMH with their names and wedding date. Stamped this in the center of the bag topper with hearts on each side and added a small silver bow at the bottom of the topper. They turned out really nice.

I will be watching for updates to this. My daughter is getting married in May and we were discussing favors.

For my wedding, I lined little vellum envelopes with a fancy patterned handmade paper and filled them with jellybellies, then closed them with a stamped seal. Everything was in coordinating colors (yellow, cream & white).
I have mixed feelings about how much time should be spent on something disposable like decorating candy, but there is nothing like a handmade favor.

A customer of mine made 4 nugget box--spelled out "LOVE" on the nuggets and used vellum as the sleeve. That might be a lot of work though for that many--do you have help making the favors?
I really like Dixiecurls idea of the favors on page 46--monogramming the favor is an excellent idea!

Argghh! I don't have the new cattie yet!! :) I will check online tho, til I get mine.

I am getting married in july or august and for my favors I am doing stamped sour cream containers with kisses inside.

Little explosion boxes might be a good choice. They're pretty quick, and you can print out the bride/groom information on the cardstock before you cut and score.

thanks for the ideas! I think I will make some of each and see what she thinks... and what I think I am willing to make that many of! hehehehe
