water color
I have some water soluble oil pastels it has for wet or dry work wrote on the box.My question is can these crayons be used like su's watercolor wonder crayons?I bought these last year before I joined SU ,A friend of mine was selling her bussiness and I got all 48 colors for $10.00. They look like su to me?I hope someone cn help me.I paint acrylic paintings I was self taught so I know nothing about oil and water painting.thank you all for reading this.PS" my friend died in March of this year so I could not ask her and since her death I quit painting.

They are not the same as watercolor, no. Water soluble refers to the clean-up, I think. As in soap and water versus needing a mineral spirit or paint thinner to clean.
It should be noted that I have been known to be wrong every so often, though, so we should wait for more input, lol! |
I did a search and several things came up. Of course, some were for stores, but it appears they can be used in a similar manner. Go to Google or Yahoo and type in water soluble oil pastels. I just checked a couple but there were some tutorial type pages and blogs. One said they should be used on moistened paper and the other referenced a water pen. HTH a little.:)
