I'm going to a cookie exchange next week and need to make sixteen containers that will hold 1/2 dozen cookies each. I want it to be all SU products since I'm a new demo and would like to show the ladies what else we can create. Whether it be a box or bag out of cardstock or a purchased container decorated with cardstock. Anyone out there who can help me? I'd really appreciate it...THANKS!!!
What about purchasing some plain 'take-out' style boxes from Michaels and decorating them with SU cardstock, ribbons, and stamps? They're $1 each I believe. Cheap and easy. ;)
I guess that's the direction I'll have to go. It seems that the templates for boxes and bags out of cardstock are too small. I think I'm making myself crazy for no reason! Thanks!
You could decorate the white handled bags from the catty. Otherwise, I'd suggest Gable Boxes that you can decorate with SU stuff. I LOVED the gable boxes SU used to have (both white and craft colored) and those would be extremely cute too. The big ones should definitely hold 1/2 dozen cookies.
Good luck! And post a picture of what you make!

they are affectionately known as "Genie bags" because Genie ### (I can't remember what numbers she has on her username) is the one who came up with the idea and posted it here on SCS!
Okay, so I a m really, really cheap! (Well, I lost my job recently and couldn't afford to make 16 paint cans for just a few cookies!) I just got back from Walmart and they had those nice white lunch bags, 50 for under $2! I would stamp them up with Christmas colors and stamps, put the cookies in a ziploc bag, slide them in the lunch bag, fold over the top of the lunch bag, use the ribbon or double slotted punch and add some pretty SU ribbon and a stamped tag and be done with them! Good luck and let us all know what you decide to stamp!
I buy the kraft colored boxes from Michaels...they are 69cents for the size that I use. I have one on my gallery if you want to look. Everyone loves them that I give candy and cookies too. I make more of them than cards.
I just remembered that I ordered some food safe, coffee type of bags to stamp on from Stamponthis.com they were terrific! I hope I got the website right? She is a member of SCS, too. But, if you want to show off SU stuff, this probably isn't a good idea! I second the notion of making a box out of cardstock, terrific idea!
