Using Versamark on gold/silver paper
Hi!
I am thinking of ideas for my Christmas cards and am wondering if anyone has tried to use Versamark on gold or silver paper? I am not sure if it would work or give you the same watermark effect as it does when you use it to stamp on regular colored cardstock. Any suggestions people have would be appreciated. TIA Marcy |
I just tried it and no it didn't show up on my gold or silver paper that I have. I bought the gold and silver paper at Michaels. I used it last month for a 50th anniversary for the in-laws. I used two different stamps and neither one showed up. You might try craft white ink on it... that might work.
Hope this helps. |
I took a class with my upline recently and we used copper paper and rolled copper ink (using an uninked cartridge and copper refill ink) then embossed on the copper (sticky) ink and the effect was amazing! We did accents with Earth Elements beads on Sticky Strip and did a small stamp on a black piece of cardstock inserted in the center of a copper tag (it fit perfectly with a punch).
It was amazing! |
Last year for my Christmas cards I embossed silver on top of silver paper and it looked really good.

Just Versamark won't do it, but embossing on the metallic paper looks really cool.
