Using a punch on rubber?

Has anyone used a punch on a blank sheet of rubber?

An online stamp store sells a blank sheet of rubber... which I thought might be cool to punch shapes out of, mount them on EZ Mount and use them....
File Folder Tab, ovals, etc...

But I don't want to break my punches!

Has anyone done this??

TIA! (I can hardly type that without thinking of Rainsong and BethHartley....)

I've used a big hole punch to make circles but I haven't tried an ornate punch. The hole punch worked great!

you could also cut out shapes with an exacto knife. you could probably get some interesting things cut out, depending on how wood you were.

Or get some kind of cutter that would sort of melt the rubber as you tried to cut it.
