I just got pm'ed (Thanks sooo much Alanna!!!) and told that one of my card images is being used on #-bay--no, the seller does NOT have my permission to use it!! Yes, I now have a watermark, but this card was from before I started watermarking.
What can I do to get her to pull it?? *is totally #-bay inept*
Plus, there are other cards on her auction (not mine) and I would suspect that they were lifted from the gallery here too!
Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to the auction, so I won't right now.
To contact the seller, you can click on "ask the seller a question" on the right side of the screen under the heading "meet the seller" and leave them a message. I posted a thread on the Site suggestions and Questions forum so we'll see 'cause a whole bunch of SCS members cards are being used by this seller.

How terrible!!! Could you just send her an email through eBay (make sure not to send your email address) and tell this person that if she/he does not pull your cards and some of the others that you will go to the proper authorities since she/he is illegally using your card images. You can also contact eBay customer service to see what they can do to ban this person from doing this in the future. I am not sure how much the bay will of help, but at least you've made contact, have a record of your complaint and sent a warning to this person. How bout contacting SU! as well to ask how you can take care of this situation.
Contact the seller and if that doesn't work I think all you can do is ask e-bay to pull it or at least report it as a questionable sale to ebay. I am so sorry that this has happened

Bummer to say, but I don't think there is really anything you can do. It is just an immage that she used. I would for sure contact her and let her know that you are NOT happy about it and kindly ask her to remove her head from her rear and also YOUR immage from her auction.
I contacted her and asked her to remove my card image that she stole and this is her reply:
"No, I don't, a girlfriend of mine made that card and said that I could photograph it, all the cards in my listings are either made by me or my friends and used with their permission."
I have contacted ebay and SU about her! Don't know if they will/can do anything, but at least she is getting called on her crap!!!
I have this same card posted to my blog and my gallery here, so I can prove it's mine!!!
Are you serious????? What caught my eye on her site was your stunning chalkboard Wild rose card...totally unique...no way it's hers or her friends' card. Unbelievable

Please continue to keep us posted on this. Maybe if more of the people whose images she has stolen contact ebay they will sit up and do something about it.
Here's the scoop folks: I think if enough people file a complaint against this person regarding a Listing Violation...eBay can stop this person from illegally using trademarked cards. Here is what you can do if you are a victim:
REPORT LISTING VIOLATIONS:
Click on Community (top of the page) > type in her member ID "XXXX" under Find a Member > You will get an exact match > Once you click on her member ID, you will get the feedback page...on the left hand side, click on "Report this Page" > a new browser will open up and you will have to log in > Go to drop down menu "Module to Report On" > Choose Listings > the type in your complaint > Click on Submit at bottom of page > A report will be sent to eBay Customer Support.
I tried to look up this person in the SCS member listing and found nothing.
I understand and sympathize with the angst anyone victimized may feel in this situation, however:

"Wow, you're the 2nd person today to email me about this. All the cards in my listings were either made myself or by my girlfriends and they've given me permission to use them."
Here is my response back:
"I'm sorry, but that is simply untrue. I created that card, from scratch, with an idea straight from my brain, and for "you" or your "friend" to come up with the same exact card, with the same exact set, with the same exact colors, in the same exact orientation, is highly unlikely. Remove MY photo from your listing."
This crappola has been happening way too much lately. If everyone has a watermark they would go find a site with easier pickings.
I agree--but some of us don't own the right kind of photo software to do watermarks. I've tried to figure it out in Word, Publisher, and Microsoft Photo Editor. I've read the threads and still can't get it to work. Any ideas?
Jen--I really hope you pursue this, and also the others who have had their images used to sell items for someone else. All she had to do was ask...
I visited the ebay store in question & didn't find any photos. It looks like they were all removed. There is a line up at the top of the store listing that states instead of posting photos of cards, all orders will come with idea sheets chocked full of samples.

You can always print your info on a transparency and then lay it on top of your card before scanning.

The photos are listing inside the listings of the stamp sets. Open the listings, and there are 3 or 4 photos of cards, obviously all lifted straight from SCS.
I would advise that everyone looks and reports this seller.

Thanks Jeanne...good idea!!! I was wondering about the watermark thing. How bout if you don't have a scanner??? And only use a digicam to take pictues? What do you do then?

You could just cut out your info on the transparency and use dotto (or some other temporary sticky stuff) to adhere it to your card before taking a picture.
Most of the picture software out there has an "Add Text" feature. That's all a basic watermark is. It doesn't have to be fancy. Big enough to read and in a spot that cannot be cropped out.

So even if this person is not a SCS member??? But she is in violation of the SU policy anyway. AND it looks like she took the pics off of her store site, but will still be passing out samples on paper (from our very own talented SCSer's) to anyone who buys a stamp set from her. How rude!
