Default gift for injured football player?

Hello -

One of my son's teammates broke his arm at our football game this morning. They are 9-10 years old. I'd like to send a card with a little something inside to brighten his day. Any ideas would be appreciated!

I ran across this today for a little kid who broke his arm. I thought it looked just right for a boy. It's a candy bar wrapper...

My son plays freshman football and we had 3, yes THREE! season ending injuries this season. For each one, a mom made some football shaped cookies and made a big card for each of his teammates to sign - while the cookies were devoured, the boys moms all said it was the card signed by the teammates that meant the most to the injured players!

Default Thank you!

Thanks so much for all of your suggestions. The injured player is coming to practice Tuesday and told his mother he can still run laps! LOL So I decided to make him a water bottle charm from shrink plastic. I stamped a crayon kid stick figure, stamped his name and a football, then shrunk it. I attached a jump ring and a covered hair elastic band which holds it around the neck of the water bottle. Because if you've ever seen a football practice or game, you've seen the 35+ water bottles laying around. I don't know how they tell them apart!

I sent it with a card and a little packet of pop rocks. Hope he likes it!

thanks again for the suggestions. Cookies and a card from the team could still be in order if I can get my act together. LOL
