I am thinking of purchasing a Cuttlebug and therefore some Nestabilities after seeing all of the wonderful uses for these items. Now since neither of these items is inexpensive my question would be what Nestability size and shape do you use the most? I have a coluzzal cutting system with the circle and oval shapes so I am in particular speaking of the scalloped shapes. Also is there anywhere online that the Nesties can be purchased for less than $25? Working on a budget here and my frugal side never lets me buy anything unless it's on sale! Thanks.
You can get some discounted Nesties on Overstock.com, and when you order from there they are already in stock. Some of the other sites have back order issues due to demand.
I think the shape depends on your stamping style. I tend to make cards with rectangle and circle image panels, so I grab for those first.
Buying the scallops first made since to me, becuase you can always trim/cut the inside panel to fit inside the scallop with cutters you already own. I am on a VERY tight single income budget, so I understand being frugal!!
I would say the circles would be a great first purchase!! Good luck!
There is a woman on ebay that sells them at a lower price if you buy the whole set (sm & lg ofplain, plus scallop of one shape family - ie -circles or oval, etc {hope this makes sense}), but i cannot remember her name.
I LOVE my circles - i have the sm plain circles and the lg. scallop circle. I use them most, but wish i had the full set. I also have the full set of squares and do like them, but like the effect that the circles bring to a sketch!

I am fairly new to the Cuttlebug, I've had it for 2 months. I have 2 full sets of nesties, circles and squares. The best deal around is ucutathome. Sign up to receive the 40% VIP coupon. You can get the full set of nesties (small and large of both classic and scallop) for $51 plus s&h. You cannot beat that deal anywhere. The only catch is you can only use the coupon once. A new coupon code is emailed to you at the beginning of every month. It has built in budget control! Buy the bug and start collecting the nesties! You will not regret it! I don't!
I use my large ovals a lot! (both scalloped and plain) they make life so much easier, and I purchased them through papertreyink, they have free priority shipping for anything over $50. I am slowly building my collection! they're great!
I would suggest getting the scalloped circles from Overstock. This set has 6 different size circles and will coordinate with your circles with Colluzzle.
This is the set I started with. I used some plastic templates I already had to trace and cut the different size circles to put inside the scalloped ones.
There are two different scallop circle sets. One is called large, and the link is below. There is another one that is practically the same, but the circles are a tiny bit smaller in diameter. They call it "small" but it's not really much different than the large one.
Then they confuse you further by calling some of the sets "petite." This has nothing to do with the size of the circles, but refers to the size of the scallops around the edge. I didn't like the petite, so I got the set in this link:

This is wonderful information. I was leaning towards the circles then possibly the ovals as being the most useful. Thanks for the information...it is very enabling!
Read but have not commented on this site in forever, but noticed your question. If you have a Hobby Lobby nearby, they've gotten in the nestabilities and offer 40% off coupons out there every other week. So you can find a great price on them if you're near a HL -- good luck!

I just ordered a full set of Classic and Standard Circles and Rectangles from RitzCamea for $50.79 each instead of the $89. They also have the single sets for $15.95. Sale is thru Sept. Click on scrapbooking. I also found them at HL here in MI. for $24.95 but you can use the 40% coupon.
Thank you so much for the info. I orders two sets from the RitzCamea. I thought I was getting a deal where I was shopping but not any more.. Thanks Again
Rubbernecker Stamp Company has them on sale right now plus if you order over $25 worth of product you get an additional 10% off. They're cheaper than ANYBODY'S price that I've seen and they have GREAT customer service. I order from them quite a bit.
I bought the whole sets of circles and ovals (4 of each). I like them, but in retrospect, I did not need both the large and small of each. If you can use a coupon on a single set - that might be the way to go.
I happened to walk in this stamping store with a friend(that I have driven by frequently and from the outside it looks small, so i never went in it until this past weekend) and discovered that it has tons of stuff in it. I was so surprised. well she carrys the nestabilities in stock for $19.50 and so i bought 2 sets. I will go back to buy more.I feel like I hit the jackpot
