Default Indexing unmounted stamps?

Sorry if this has been asked a million times haha! but, I couldn't find it anywhere! So I decided to ask I'm working on unmounting ALL of my stamps and about 1/2 are done. I have decided to place the sets on stor-rite boards from Sunday International and then store them all in photo boxes by companies SU, TAC, ect. NOW I'm thinking I need to index them somehow so I know what I have.

I was thinking of stamping each set on a sheet of paper than labeling them 1-whatever number placing it in a binder and also labeling the stor-rite board. So they will be easy to find and keep in order. Do you think this will be an easy way to go back to see what I have?

How do you index your unmounted stamps? any other ideas?

Thank you!

I stamp one set per page and label the page with the stamp set name, what company, how many stamps in the set, any info from the wood block before I throw it out.

I stamp all mine on printer paper put them in page protectors and then keep in a 3-ring binder in alphabetical order. This has worked for me and I really like it.

Thats what I plan to do... Each set on a sheet of paper even if its only a couple of stamps. Then I can look through my "catalogue" of stamps I own and get some inspiration from them.

If the stamps are brand new, The I take the Ez-mount foam and stamp set.

Ink the stamp and then place it on the clingy side of the Ez-mount foam. Rub around on the back side of the foam until I feel that I have transfered the ink onto the clingy side of the foam. Pull it off. Let it dry for a few min. and then clean the ink off the stamp (just so your fingers don't get inky) Then peel off the paper from the sticky side and match up the images from the inked Cling side and the rubber.

Cut them apart. Put them in your CD case or what ever you're storing your Stamps in.

Label the end of the CD. and you're done. For those of you that need to see it in person. here is a link to someone that has a super video of it.
