Default What did you ask for for Christmas???

Sooooo what was on your 'Dear Santa' list this year??!! (stamping-related things, of course!!!) I had so many 'ideas', I lost count, but one near the top of my list was the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set (and punch!!!) from SU! I wonder if it will be under the Christmas tree......

Will Santa be able to fit his bag full of SU! sets, paper, and ink down your chimney this year???

Merry Christmas!!!

You will love Flight of the Butterfly and the punch... I have both and they were my go-to set for "easy and cute" this year.

I just bought my own Christmas present with my mini catalog preorder--yikes! I hardly ever buy that many stamp sets from a mini because I'm a business demo--however, they were just too awesome to resist. And this is in addition to the two I will get free for going to the Leadership Convention... like they have to give me stamps to go from WI to Phoenix in January--LOL!

My inlaws already gave us our present so we could get a laptop so I can use My Digital Studio anywhere I want to... so I already feel way too blessed this year to ask for anything else!

If only that Occasions mini was going now. I have so many tabbed pages (former demo here.) Between the new punches, paper stacks and unmounted stamps - gonna be an expensive new year!!

Ugh....

Every year, my family says, "you are soooo hard to buy for." I reply to that with ,"are you kidding!! I am a scrapbooker. I would love to get paper, stamps, markers, glitter, etc, etc, etc for Christmas!"

Their response...."Oh sure...as if we are going to give you paper for Christmas. Nice gift And then I get socks, pyjamas, etc. Nice things, but I would be way more excited with a border punch :(

Please...tell me....am I the only one whose family just doesn't understand the obsession?

Good for you Lyssa on the laptop. I inherited one and I use it to show all my customers the MDS software right there in my studio instead of dragging them into my office.

My pre-order is my Christmas gift too as I spent WAY more than I intended to. It was hard not to as I wanted the entire catty. The scary part is, I still have the other half of my list all written down so I know I'm not finished buying yet!

I showed hubby the ads with great deals on Cricut but he said he already got me something. That is very scary and he is not giving hints.

I am getting 3 cricut cartridges and a cuttlebug. I know this because I bought them on Black Friday and my husband wrapped them. While there's no element of surprise, this works well, as I don't know how he'd do in the craft store. He does the same thing with the fishing gear he wants as I don't have a clue there.

Nesties are on my list to Santa!!

Oh wait...I am Santa...hmm.

My birthday is 11 days before Christmas and I'm hoping to score some birthday cash from various in-laws to buy Nesties for myself! DD lost his job this year so Christmas is pretty tight around here (thanks God for SCS and handmade gifts!). Birthday money is always untouchable so I'm looking forward to some guilt free spending in the next couple of weeks!

I was bad and ordered stamp sets the past couple weeks, the have arrived and I have already used most of them - so they will not be wrapped under the tree - lol. But, I am not a Commercial Christmas kind of girl, I never ask for anything stamping or non- stamping .........it is not the meaning of Christmas for me to ask for gifts........it drives everyone NUTS ...........I have never asked for anything even when I was a kid, to my parents dismay (Christmas was always a lean time of year - my Mom was a stay at home till I was a jr in High school and my Dad worked construction so he was usually laid off by September back in the day so me and my 2 older brothers knew times we tuff and we usually didn't ask for anything for Christmas we knew we needed to eat and keep the roof over our heads - we always got something - guess Mom paid attention all year and we got great goodies!) - to this day it drives everyone crazy - so everything is a surprise............whether I like it or want it is appreciated - I know that I will get at least $50.00 to Michaels (I do every year) so I will get crafting goodies after the holidays........ Plus I will be spending lots of $$$ for the new mini and sale-a-brations come March for my B'day and it is my turn to host the workshop so the list (which is all written up) is HUGE!!!

Hope everyone gets what they are wishing for!

DH bought me a retired SU set called A Beautiful Season (I saw it on the B/S/T and he paid for it; planning to use it for some of this year's holiday cards). And we accidentally met each other in Hobby Lobby earlier this week. Plus lots of packages came via USPS the past 2 weeks and the closet is filled with wrapped gifts. We have a tradition of giving each other at least 12 gifts - often many are small like a favorite candy bar but sometimes there are 1-2 large ones and several medium ones.

But what we each want most is for him to find a new job before his company closes (sometime in 2010).

I already got 2 of my gifts. When it comes to crafts, dh would just rather me pick them out myself. So I got the Scorpal (awesome deal on a used one here at SCS) and the Storybook cricut cartridge at Custom Crops for only $24.99. He also said I could get SCAL. I'll probably wait until after Christmas to get it though as money is a bit tight. Other than that, I told dh I want HIM to pick something out. I don't always like telling him what I want. I want something he picks out from the heart.

**sigh** I need a new crockpot, mine is boiling on low...

What I will get is some horrid clothing from my mil that she bought a year ago so I can't even take them back and a 7th of a Wii, since that is what my parents bought our family. The hubby and I don't exchange gifts, can't afford to, so my gift this year is the enjoyment my 5 kids get out of their gifts. Which I am happy to say I think each of them will love.

Oh, I want that one so bad! And the numbers. I usually get myself one big splurge at Sale A Bration to reward myself for doubling the number of workshops and events I do the rest of the year ;) and that is what I think I am going to get this time around.

Actually, there is nothing crafty I want right now.

I recently got the Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus digital scrapbooking software and I am now looking at all my papers and stamps and such in a new way- like, I will use these up on albums I have started or planned, and the rest will get used for future cardmaking, but I am SOOOO loving the digital scrapbooking, and the ability to make a page without pulling anything out, and the idea that I won't need all that space for stuff when we move to a smaller house, and so much else that is just easier and better with the digi-scrapping, that anything new for papercrafting is just not on my horizon right now.

I also have plenty of supplies for my needlework and lace making, so now wants there either.

I would like to get the Nook- Barnes & Noble's new e-reader- but if DH doesn't get me that I know he will find something else that I'll love.

I recently submitted my wish list to Santa, and it's all crafting goodies: SU paper, ink, stamps, and accessories; Papertrey paper, ink, stamps, and buttons; a couple of stamp sets from Waltzingmouse; and various Nestabilities. There are so many wonderful things available!

Well, I got Wicked tickets for Christmas and I'm getting my engagement ring fixed, so I'll just have to place a nice big preorder from the new mini as a present to myself. I'm planning on hitting submit on Monday, so my present will be here before Christmas.

My husband and I don't really exchange gifts. I already got a new storage closet (actually its a pantry) for all my stuff - kind of birthday and christmas present combined. But I did buy myself some new House Mouse stamps the other day and told myself that was part of my Christmas present from my hubby - whether he knows it or not.
