Default Ultrasmooth White Card Stock Question

I am in the need of the US White C/S and do not have time to put in a order to SU to get it here in time, Is there place that you recommend buying some that would be the same quality as the paper from Stampin' Up!.

I cannot think of another place to buy really nice card stock except from SU! But, in a pinch you might try an office supply store like office max or depot.

Jody,

I know a lot of demos near you (like ME ) that have extra US White and wouldn't mind helping you out of a pinch until your order comes in.

I purchased some CS from Office Depot that looked like it might be similar. I'm not a demo, so I didn't have to worry about the demo-ing aspect.

The CS I purchased wasn't exactly the same and I haven't been able to find any. The main difference is that it isn't the same weight as the SU! paper, so dark ink shows through which can be a pain if I'm just doing a quick card on white with no layers.

One other difference is that it seems that the stamps stamp better on the SU! cardstock than the other that I purchased.

That being said, I've only purchased one pkg of white CS from SU! in the last 12 months, but several packages of colored CS from SU!

So, while you may not be able to find an exact substitute, some of it will work.

I think SU has the best quality cardstock and would never think of using any other brand!!! You get a much "crisper" image stamped on it when using the SU cardstock too

I have used Georgia-Pacific card stock, from Walmart, it is 110 lb. weight. It is a nice heavy card stock. It comes in a package of 150 sheets. I have compared both and don't really see a whole ton of difference between it and the SU paper, but I might be weird on this. I will only use SU card stock for my card other then the white. Hope this helps.
It was about 5.99 for 150 sheets, or so.
